  1. I like them, too, and there were none left at the store tonight.
  2. You may be right, I was thinking of Wendys, sorry.
  3. I think they have to supply you a gluten-free lunch but it does not have to be as good/great as the others- just gluten-free.
  4. I wouldn't want to eat gluten, though.
  5. I get very tired. I do not have classes on Fridays and spend most of that day sleeping or doing nothing. I just feel tired and worn down. Your signiture says you are 15. I am a few years older and these years require a lot more sleep than 8 hours. In my recent health class my Professor said that most of our class, coming out of our teens, would be growing...

  7. I was thinking of the wrong chain, sorry.
  8. Does he need glasses?
  9. Your signiture says you have been gluten-free for five days. If that is right, you have a few weeks until you will feel fully better.
  10. Like Noelle126 said, there are naturally glutenfree meals. If you have a safe cabinet and they are doing the meal they should only use the safe foods, bowls, and such. Having them read the message board would help, yes. Just let them know that gluten destroys your villi! It just doesn't make you sick! They are your friends and if they do not understand...
  11. Start finding places where you can eat out and still be gluten-free and are not picking icing off gluten cakes. Our diet does not have to be gross or lacking. If you start finding yummie gluten-free foods then soon enough you start craving them. You are only hurting yourself when you eat gluten and you are the only one who can make yourself stop eating...
  12. I take fruit with me to campus.
  13. Goats milk is better for humans to digest comapred to cows.
  14. That's cool. I haven't ever used IRC, though.
  15. Stephanie, you could still use barrier methods, right?
  16. That's very cool about your situation. I am rather glad my University doesn't have dorms but rather apartments, so, even if I did live on cmapus I wouldn't have to deal with food plans. I'd be cool to meet another Celiac on campus but I have found a few people who know about gluten and shop at the same health food stores I do. It's nice to have people...
  17. Well, we know when non-Celiacs go gluten-free and then re-introduce it back into their symptoms it takes time and it is not easy. If your child doesn't have Celiacs and isn't used to gluten when she is a little older and eats what she wants or something at school she will get sick from not being used to it. That's just something I have thought about.
  18. That is sad since you trusted them.

  20. PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC AND KEEP THE CONTROVERSIAL TALK IN E-MAILS OR PMS, THANK YOU!
  21. Since this disease has so many symptoms it can be really hard to tell unless you see major symptoms that would cause real concern. In my family (three of us diagosed- two as teenagers) we all showed symptoms before being diagnosed and show symptoms when glutened.
  22. Celiac Disease is a genetic auto-immune disorder and cannot be cured. Anyone who says it can be is wrong. I know people who have used this technique to help with certain allergies (to wood and such) and it worked but allergies are very different from Celiac Disease.
  23. I wish I had that form filled out while I was in school and am glad my brother did. Some teachers are not understanding about bathroom breaks and needing to see the nurse often especially during tests and certain lectures (when older). This disease, at times, makes us very different from those around us and we need special care. It would be easier to send...
  24. I was 17 when I was diagnosed.
  25. Try logging out of the board each time you leave.
