  1. Thanks. I'm going to try this
  2. Yes, I thought so, too. I LOVE a LOT of the crumble topping and it looks like this has it on top and in the middle, which I like. Let me know if you would like my formatted version which I copied and pasted with her notes included on one page.
  3. Here's another coffee cake recipe that I found. Looks really good, too: from: Open Original Shared Link
  4. Well, we're in luck Burnt butter icing is the only from scratch icing that I can make really well. Thanks for the suggestion.
  5. Yes, I know Actually, it appealed to me because it's smaller than the other coffeecake recipes I've found. I'm the only one who ever eats my gluten-free desserts around here and I'm bad to keep after something, if you know what I mean.
  6. This looks like a good recipe; however, can't for the life of me see how the topping could be spicy. What makes it spicy? Did they leave out an ingredient or do they just mean you can really taste the cinnamon? https://www.celiac.com/articles/539/1/Coffee-Cake-Gluten-Free/Page1.html
  7. Here's the link: Open Original Shared Link
  8. A piece of coffeecake, peanuts, coffee, ice-water. Will eat a piece of cheese later in the morning for my protein. Coffeecake was very dry, but still good. Hum, maybe add 1/2 cup of pumpkin next time for moisture.
  9. Crock potted chicken, potatoes, carrots, onions, green peppers, yellow peppers, and beets.
  10. Will definitely make this casserole for us. Thanks so much Poppi
  11. Those brands sound great. Didn't know about them. Will probably use regular brand pork for my neighbor, though. Will keep these in mind for my own use later I rarely ever eat pork, either.
  12. That sounds really good. What kind of sausages do you use? They must be pretty big.
  13. My next door neighbor's husband passed away recently and I offered to take her a casserole for her out of town guests before the service next week. She requested a breakfast casserole, the kind with eggs, bacon, with bread on the bottom. I'm going to put some of my husband's white bread slices on the bottom because they don't need gluten-free. Does anyone...
  14. I would like to bake pastries for Starbuck's and other places that are so good no one would know they are gluten-free. I don't know how I would market it, though. Maybe sell to Starbuck's and NOT TELL them it's gluten-free? That wouldn't work because they tried it before and had the little muffins wrapped in plastic to avoid cross contamination. Well...
  15. Just made these. EASILY the best pancakes I've ever eaten. Used dark brown sugar for the sugar. Everything else, exactly by the recipe. Thank you!!!
  16. I was speaking figuratively. My bad. Sorry. It will still be an experience to see what HE brings back from the grocery. I made him a detailed list. All of that????? he asked.
  17. Asked my husband what kind of game hunter he was. Does that mean you're hungry, he replied. Affirmative, I answered. What I'm cooking depends upon what he brings back
  18. Were there any left the second day? Katrala said hers tasted better the second day.
  19. I printed both of yours. Thank you. I plan to try the buckwheat ones tonight.
  20. So, you cannot use almond meal in place of almond flour in this recipe? Looks good. Just clarifying the sub possibility.
  21. Thanks! You're a sweetie.
  22. We made this last winter. Very good! Cooked it on the stovetop. COCONUT BROWN RICE My brother and I used to tease my father that he had a lifetime subscription to Somewhere Magazine. Whenever we asked him where he had read a statistic that proved his point, or a story that seemed too far-fetched to be true, he always said, "Oh, somewhere." Karma's...
  23. No, it's just a link I saw for another recipe I liked. I do not like Pamela's mix. For that reason, have not tried Bisquick. I just like to bake/make my own using gluten-free flours.
  24. Thanks for posting. I will have to try that. It might be a good pitch in (pot luck) dessert idea, too. Don't imagine they would freeze very well.
