  1. I had a peach, piece of Rudi's toast with cream cheese and Polander's Black Cherry fruit spread, and Celestial Seasoning's Black Cherry herbal tea.
  2. Manna, hi. Thanks for the links! The first link does look good. I may try it sometime, but this week I think I will try the nourishingmeals.com flat bread. That looks really good and there are so many favorable comments. One question though: do you think brown rice flour, buckwheat flour and almond meal would substitue ok for the sorghum flour? Everything...
  3. Takala, that sounds great! Looking forward to hearing how you modify the recipe.
  4. That looks awfully good. Of course, I always say that about yeast breads, probably because I can't have it.
  5. JennyLu, that looks awfully good. I think I will try it today for myself I love buckwheat. Yes, I wonder what I could substitute for the egg whites, if anything.
  6. I thought they were. Just had some for lunch. HuhOh. Yikes! Couldn't READ the ingredients in the store due to lighting and small print.
  7. OhMYGosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is too funny for words, RL2011.
  8. I'm supposed to bring bread to a meeting. One of the attendees eats vegan-gluten free. I told her I could easily sub coconut milk for the milk and use a recipe with no eggs or yeast. Any recipes out there that you have tried and liked that she could eat? Thanks for anyone's help on this. The luncheon is in 6 days.
  9. Speaking of meatloaf, I've been searching for the link for the meatloaf recipe that included chorizo sausage as one of three ground meats. Anyone remember that one?

  11. Progressive Dinner, anyone?????? I've never been able to participate in one b/c of eating gluten-free for so long. THAT would be fun.
  12. We should do a Progressive Dinner sometime. Anyone live in the Indy area?
  13. Gosh, I hope I HAVE blueberries this summer. Last summer, not enough to even make blueberry muffins. I concur with the previous two posts. That should work for ya, I would think.
  14. Know what you mean about Udi's. LOL. Just bought my first loaf and ate one slice with butter. It's been retired to the freezer. Will use as bread crumbs in meatloaf or possibly sometime when there is nothing to eat in the house and am desperate.
  15. Here's a scone recipe from Living Without: Open Original Shared Link Haven't tried it, but the only comment said the taste was great.
  16. Oddly enough, I just went by Whole Food's and they have it now. It's $12.99. Pass. I get Trader Joe's almond meal and bake biscuits with it all the time. Good. VERY affordable. Use other flours WITH it.
  17. Thanks. I might try that
  18. If I could find a VERY affordable grinder, I could
  19. I have looked everywhere, even at Nature's Pharm, the new ALMOST all gluten free health food store in Castleton and no one carries it. Does anyone know where to order it?
  20. Did you post that shortbread recipe? Sounds very yum! I'm busy perfecting a multi-grain biscuit recipe that I've been tweeking (not sweet). Will try again today. Roasted a chicken and baked sweet potatoes last night. Will have left overs with biscuits.
  21. Can you use shortening? The recipe I use most often calls for 3T butter and 3T shortening, but you could probably just use the shortening for both. They taste great and have no sugar or sweetener. I don't like sweet biscuits either.
  22. Here's the latest one I copied from this forum that I thought I'd try someday. It comes from Domino's Sugar: Domino Sugar
  23. How about coconut milk? I sub that all of the time in biscuits and they come out great.
