  1. Thanks, Sylvia. The reason I haven't bought one is because I don't bake yeast breads, but then I eat Rudi's which has yeast in it, so I may try some breads with yeast in them. They certainly rise better.
  2. Which model would serve for our purposes? I assume there is no need to get a professional model? Open Original Shared Link I love Rudi's cinnamon raisin bread. Keep it frozen and get a slice at a time out and toast it. It doesn't have to thaw first. I even ate tomato sandwiches on it this summer with mayo put garlic powder and pepper on the tomato...
  3. Have you tried King Arthur? I haven't either, yet. Just wondered if you had tried it. They have it at Kroger where we live, now.
  4. I just ate a Manwich sloppy joe for the first time and so far so good. No reaction. The ingredients looked ok, but after reading this thread, could be a slight amt. of wheat in it. Any one else eat this product?
  5. Am baking blonde brownies now. Will have with my coffee in a few when they're done. Can't wait (I know, I'm being bad right now, too. Will start back with healthy breakfasts Monday when school starts).
  6. Are you a teacher? I know, it's hard to get back on schedule.
  7. GET OUT! That's what I had for lunch. No wonder I'm so hungry now.
  8. I only tried U once. Never again. Thanks for the Costco heads up. Yes, that would definitely save me $ to join just for R bread. LOVE their cinnamon raisin.
  9. Thank you. I may try that. The Bacitracin is having no affect whatsoever. Still itchy and painful and red as the dickens.
  10. whatever is in Dimetapp and Claritin causes me to have severe shortness of breath. I can take Benedryl and Zyrtex, though, thankfully.
  11. Could I come over your house for supper? LOL!!!!
  12. This coffeecake was outstanding and it did not need refrigeration: https://www.celiac.com/articles/539/1/Coffee-Cake-Gluten-Free/Page1.html I used extra dark brown sugar for the topping and did not have any nuts. It was probably my favorite gluten-free dessert ever. Right up there with Pumpkin Bars.
  13. Any thoughts about using melaluca oil?
  14. Their blog post of March 25th says they are on a temporary sabbatical and their domain is for sale.
  15. I haven't tried any of the retail mixes except for Pamela's about 6 yrs. ago, hated it, never tried another one. I am THINKING about trying King Arthur's, though, as Kroger now carries it.
  16. Ah, yes. That does sound good I am not cooking tonight. Treating a burn and grabbin' anything.
  17. Thank you. I had not though of that, but it could be the reason because the hives have gotten bigger, redder, and burn more and more. I went to the doctor today. He told me to take Benedryl and did not give me anything to apply on it. Just said Neosporin if I wanted to keep it moist. I took a Benedry. It is still burning. Thanks for the Neosporin update...
  18. The Asian Market here sometimes carries sorghum flour. Haven't seen millet anywhere. So glad the coconut cake turned out for you.
  19. This is the only thing that relieves the burning sensation so far. Thanks.
  20. My chiropractor, who is excellent, sold me some chlorophyll for a burn. Well, I took one pill after already covering my burn with it topically, and I was a sick puppy. Several days later, the burn is still not healed, looks like it might scar, and I have a bumpy red rash still on my chest. I've been using Neosporin Plus, but it doesn't seem to be doing...
  21. It was good I ACCIDENTALLY used sorghum flour instead of brown rice flour (in the flour mix), so it was chewy, sorta like sponge cake. We liked it. Thanks for the recpe
  22. Alex, I just made your birthday cake. Still too hot to ice, though.
  23. Red potatoes with butter and fresh chives from my garden, corn on the cob, and mushroom sauteed in butter, onions, and garlic. This is our farmer's market meal.
  24. I tried this cake, once, and it was FABULOUS the second day and thereafter. I used coconut milk in place of the milk. I would imagine you could sub light tasting olive oil for the mayonnaise and whatever you normally sub for the eggs. There were 120 comments, so you could go to the website and possibly find a comment from someone who did it vegan. Just a...
  25. What would be a good thing to sub for the oat flour on that second one?
