  1. I've made this twice, as well, mushroom, and it is delish!
  2. What a great idea to use chicken stock instead of milk. Please let us know how that worked for you. I tried making gravy about a month ago with all boiling water instead of milk, and it was pretty close to ineatable.
  3. I had mozzarella cheese, tangerine, banana, white grapes, almonds, water.
  4. I made this for my neighbor and her guests the morning of her husband's memorial service. She said it was very good. May make it for us this Christmas morning: Breakfast Casserole by Fire and Salt (recommended by Poppi) 1/2 pound of meat (Bacon, Sausage, Ham, or a combination of any) 1/2 cup onion (chopped) 1/2 cup green bell pepper (Chopped) 12 eggs...

  6. Just curious, what is the difference between roasting and baking ?
  7. One commenter said she made this into a lemon cake and it tasted exactly like Starbuck's lemon poundcake. I would imagine Love2Travel's suggestions would apply nicely here. I bought some lemon extract, also mentioned by missmellie, and thought I'd substitute one or two teaspoons of the vanilla extract with that if I ever get around to making it. Land of...

  14. They were the same height as all my biscuits, about 3/4 inch-1 inch high. Only made 7 for me. I also used a teaspoon of psyllium seed husk in place of the sugar. Don't like sweet biscuits.
  15. Sounds good. I'll try that! Thanks for the suggestion. I use almond meal all of the time, as well.
  16. Baked these this morning before headin' off to school. Very good, but dry. Will try other flour combos next time, retaining the coconut flour at 1/4 cup.
  17. Has anyone tried these biscuits? If so, how did they turn out? Coconut Country Biscuits Ingredients: 3/4 c. White Rice Flour 1/4 c. Organic Coconut Flour 2 Tbsp. Potato Starch 1 tsp. 19. Have not tried this. I have printed out quite a few recipes for rolls lately, but for some reason, this is the only one saved in my electronic files: Surf Spot Gluten Free Sandwich Rolls - 2 3/4 cups gluten free flour blend - 1/4 cup buttermilk powder or coconut flour - 1 teaspoon salt - 3 Tablespoons honey - 1 Tablespoon xanthan gum or guar gum,...

  24. After much thought and consideration, I've decided to bake my most-beloved gluten-free coffeecake, it always gets rave reviews and no one knows it's gluten-free, and pair it with some Starbuck's salted caramel hot chocolate for me and latte for hubs (no one else will make it over before noon). Probably put out some almonds and sliced up fruit and cheese slices...
  25. Three buckwheat pancakes with water/apple cider vinegar inplace of milk, thanks to gluten-free Manna's recipe and Takala's comment about water tasting just as good, and three slices of turkey bacon with black coffee with a dash of salt and vanilla added to the grounds b4 brewing. Extremely yum!!!!
