  1. Some Zyrtec is gluten-free. Target is one. I take that very sparingly only when I have to. It's the only one that works for me except for Clarinex which I avoid b/c it kicks my ADD up a notch (and I need to go in the other direction, lol). Woke up with blowfish lips this morning and had to cancel my sub job and go to the doctor because of taking Benedryl...
  2. TJ's has great prices in Indy. Love that store.
  3. I just bought Progresso Lentil Soup at Dollar Tree with an expiration date of 2013. The can wasn't bent, either, so I was happy to get it for a dollar. It's labeled gluten-free on the front.
  4. I bought both kinds of yeast in Dec. so I plan to make some yeast bread this week (my first time baking with yeast): Questions: Do I need a thermometer for the warm water? If not, how warm should it be? Luke warm, very warm, or what? Where should I put the bread while it is rising? In the oven? If so, what temperature? Thanks!
  5. From TriumphDining: Burger King's New Fries ARE Gluten-Free The folks at Burger King have just confirmed that their new fry recipe, the first change since 1998, is gluten-free. The new fries are thicker, with reduced sodium and a coating that makes them crisper and keeps them hotter. They have been available in all of Burger King locations since December...
  6. Ciamarie, is this what you mean for the recipe? I copied and pasted someone elses's version with 1 t. less xanthan gum and the flour mix in cups. Also went to KA's website and put their blend at the bottom: Ingredients * 1 Tbsp. yeast * 1 Tbsp. sugar * 1 ½ cups warm water * 2 ½ cups of King Arthur Gluten-Free Multi-Purpose Flour (decrease by ¼...
  7. That sounds great! And, welcome Valery! Tonight I will have Spicy Potato Curry and flatbread with olive oil/herb dip
  8. I'm so glad you like it! Was just thinking my sig line was too long and maybe I should delete that part. Won't now. Absolutely LOVE your quotes, too. Tonight? Will cook gluten-free pasta with thawed out frozen herbs from my herb garden last summer in sauce.
  9. I "envy" you folks who can eat gluten-free oats , well, not exactly envy, but you are lucky. I can never figure out WHAT to substitute for oats in recipes, so never make them. Example: breads that call for oat flour
  10. First of all, thank you for the recipes and the thread! I have been looking for more Indian recipes. Last summer, my vegan friend made a similar version to this when we got together with another vegan friend for lunch (I'm not vegan). I searched the internet and found this recipe which I have made a few times and actually like better than hers (her mother...
  11. Thank you! Happy New Year to you as well! Left over New England Clam Chowder, Progresso, gluten-free.
  12. That sounds really good Spryng! Sometimes, I just add cottage cheese/grated parmesan to my pasta and sauce before eating it. Sounds very similar
  13. IrishHeart, Mushroom, I want to eat at YOUR houses! Last night I had a ham and swiss sandwich on Rudi's toasted multigrain bread with a little mayo. First time I have had a "real" sandwich in ages.
  14. I KNOW KNOW KNOW what you mean. Having said that, you can survive a long time on frozen waffles, eggs, and sausage or bacon for breakfast. Nature's Path Buckwheat frozen waffles are, bar none, my favorite frozen waffles. I will still eat Van's, in a pinch. Ate those for years. Throw a little Aunt Jemima's on there, and you're all set (I know, I bought...
  15. Well, since I had my breakfast for supper last night, scrambled eggs, msg-less sausage, and gluten-free toast with jelly/butter, I will just have some coffee and possibly some corn chex cereal with almonds and raisins and unsweetened applejuice in place of milk
  16. I like it too. Glad you were able to find that brand right away after going gluten-free!
  17. I think Carol Fenster's blend uses corn flour. That is the blend I'm going to use anyway in the next sweet bread or muffins I make.
  18. I use coconut milk in place of milk and it always works just fine.
  19. Those look really good! Copied to my files. My mom makes the absolute BEST bourbon balls, and I had been looking for a gluten-free version. Will definitely try this recipe. THANKS!
  20. Not a bad price at the A. store, either!
  21. This looks interesting. I usually add herbs to Whole Foods Pizza Sauce. Get two pizzas out of it. May try your recipe next time. Thanks for sharing it.
  22. Thanks Sylvia and Alex! It will be nice to be able to eat something and enjoy the party like "normal" people, lol.
  23. I found a link last Dec. that said they were gluten free. Hopefully, that is still true. Open Original Shared Link The office manager at school is making fondue for the staff Christmas party to dip strawberries, etc., and I am looking forward to having dessert with everyone else. Another teacher and I are both gluten-free, and the entire meal will be...
