  1. Another confirmation I need to have my eyes checked!!!!!
  2. Great list! I have some chickpea flour never opened. Hum. That might just work. It's a bean flour, not wholegrain, but still...might work.
  3. Tapioca, cornstarch and arrowroot are all starches, so I don't think they would work. Her formula is 40% (400 grams) wholegrains, 60% starches (600 grams).
  4. I would like to try her gluten-free flour mix formula, but cannot use millet flour. Does anyone have a suggestion for substitutions? Brown rice flour doesn't seem to have any flavor and amaranth I use in small quantities. I'm interested in hearing what you would use. Here's the short demo: Open Original Shared Link 200 grams sorghum 200 grams millet...
  5. So, it was YOU! I'd remembered someone had said they had a reaction to their buckwheat. I never have. But, I HAVE had a reaction to their millet flour. That poor little bag is still sitting in the refrigerator all by itself. Will probably never use it again. Wouldn't it be nice if we all reacted to the same things and then we could create a formula...
  6. You're welcome. I use Arrowhead Mills buckwheat flour and have never had a reaction.
  7. I like Rudi's gluten-free multi-grain bread and cinnamon-raisin bread. They are in the frozen section of health food and otherwise stores To bake, I am also looking for a great bread recipe. Maybe we'll get some replies for bread that isn't too hard to bake. I have bought some yeast, both kinds, but have never tried them in a recipe yet. Hoping...
  8. Ok, Ghosty. Here's the recipe I use. My comments, additions are in brackets. Amazingly Easy Hodgson Mill Gluten-Free Buckwheat Pancake Recipe This recipe is on the back of Hodgson Mill Buckwheat Flour boxes, and the people at Hodgson Mill were happy to let me (GlutenFreeManna)reprint it here for you. Get yourself a box of their buckwheat flour and...
  9. Sounds like you 've found your solution and I'm at the tailend of this conversation, but have you ever tried buckwheat pancakes? I make them all the time. They taste great and stay together great. I use water for the liquid and one egg. Will post recipe if you're interested
  10. "Fork marks on my monitor." LOL, Adalaide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. The pasta that I bought at Food Lion in NC was Sam Mills Pasta d'oro corn pasta spaghetti. It was great! You get two packages for $2, a little over. Best taste I've tried and best price.
  12. Simple today. Two scrambled eggs, cream cheese on Rudi's toasted raisin cinnamon bread. E Yum!
  13. I'm laughing so hard at your banter. Thanks for the humor My last hurrah before dieting to lose my 5 extra pounds I gained this year was Betty Crocker's chocolate cake. I added the 3 oz. of cream cheese, as suggested on this board, and made a delicious chocolate frosting in a saucepan over med heat, and voila! My mom thought it was FUDGE Cake and made...
  14. I found a new-to-me spaghetti noodles brand made out of corn at Food Lion in the gluten-free section of their grocery store in NC. LOVED it! AND, very affordable.
  15. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, truth be told, Hershey bar with almonds. King size. And coffee! Black. Afterall, it IS fourth of July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Trust me, as someone said above, this is legal jargon so they won't get sued. I thought about starting a gluten-free restaurant, but thought better of it, b/c someone would inevitably get sick and sue and that would be the end of that dream. And, I'm gluten-free and would KNOW how to do it.
  17. I LOVE this idea--recipe and freezing it. Also, thanks Skylark for the 1/3 dried herbs per fresh herbs advice.
  18. Gosh, how terrible! We all have our lessons to learn, don't we? The odd part is even when I THINK I'm being careful, sometimes all of my "science" backfires on me. Hope you are feeling better now
  19. I was impressed that they put the McMuffin, minus the muffin, in a conainer by itself. It hadn't been assembled with the muffin yet. Got a couple of those during my trip with no side effects. Well, until today. Not sure which was cross contaminated.
  20. I was just checking on their hash browns after having a traveling incident about 30 minutes after eating a McMuffin minus the muffin and a hash brown. Here's the link: Open Original Shared Link
  21. Nature's Path Buckwheat waffles and turkey bacon Just popped waffles in the toaster.
  22. I absolutely LOVE Ian's chicken nuggets. You bake them. So good. Get mine at Whole Foods in the freezer section, but you're wanting to fry them. I GET that!
  23. I don't think it would work for me because of the warning. Here's part of it: People who take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) (other than aspirin) such as salsalate may have a higher risk of having a heart attack or a stroke than people who do not take these medications. These events may happen without warning and may cause death. This...
  24. This one is gluten-free. Why not just buy this and add your own salt?
