You should not have any issues, but if there is a dirty shared microwave, toaster or toaster oven in your staff room, then you may want to avoid those. If you use a container to heat up food in a microwave then even a dirty one might still be ok.

I'm not sure if you've looked at bunion surgery, but this was the final solution for my wife's foot issues, which were also unrelated to any gluten issues.

I hope you solved your mystery, because foot pain is the worst! My wife dealt with decades of pain in both her feet due to severe bunions, and finally had surgery to fix them. Let us know how it goes!

I would side with your doctor at this point, and I agree that those without autoimmune issues to gluten should not have any positive antibody tests for it, and possibly even not have elevated, or barely below positive test results. It's strange to me that in the past ten years they have created a new "weak positive" zone for blood test results, but not a...

question on TTG level
Scott Adams replied to Karynkat's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Welcome to the forum! So each lab might have a different scale, as they may use a different company's test, and if I understand your email correctly, you had a tTG score of 19 and anything greater than 12 is considered positive, right? If this is the case, then it is a solid positive blood test result for celiac disease, and the tTG test is the... -
At this point you may have non-celiac gluten sensitivity, which some doctors believe to be a pre-celiac state, although there is a lot of debate about this among the medical community. In any case, if you have a single positive test for blood test celiac disease, and some or all of your symptoms go away when you go gluten-free, then your doctor is likely...

It seems like using gloves, and perhaps N95 masks, then washing off well after handing various gluten grains should keep you safe.

In my case they are definitely related to undiagnosed celiac disease, no question about it. I had severe flattened villi by the time I was diagnosed, and severe malabsorption issues, so I suspect that vitamin and mineral deficiencies were triggering psychological and neurological issues. I also had gluten ataxia for decades, until I began seriously supplementing...

Welcome to the forum, and I must say that your vivid description sounds just like what I went through when I was in my mid-20's, which led to my diagnosis. I also had several trips to the emergency room, and thought it was heart issues, but it was panic attacks, and I also had strong vertigo symptoms that came with it--like I was literally standing on the...

Dehydration and stomach cramps
Scott Adams replied to Markh123ny's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Eating out is probably the single biggest risk for gluten contamination, so you may want to avoid this until you are fully recovered. If you must eat out you may want to consider using GliadinX (a sponsor here), which is an AN-PEP based enzyme that has been shown in many studies to break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches your... -
What your favorite Gluten Free restaurant ?
Scott Adams replied to Jane07's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I like Diavola Pizzeria and Coppola's Rustic, both in or near Geyserville, CA (If you are ever in wine country). Diavola's makes their gluten-free pizzas in a separate area of their wood fired pizza oven, and also prepare them in a separate area using separate ingredients. Both offer some vegetarian items. That said, I still take at least two capsules on... -
Do your roommates drink it straight from the carton? Hopefully not! Of course one could create a chain of unlikely events that could lead to contamination, but you have to ask yourself how likely would this be to actually happen (I am imagining a roommate eating regular macaroni and cheese and drinking straight out of the carton the entire time).
