  1. I have only been a member here for a little over 2 months. I have learned a life time of things in that short space of time. I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for taking the time to reply to everybody. You all have helped each one of us. The "old timers" you have learned so much the hard way and have shared it with everyone else and saved...

  3. I have never bought/seen them before. Can you use them just like egg roll skins/wrappers? My daughter misses eggrolls. I always baked them with cabbage or coleslaw blend, chicken or pork, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, garlic and green onions. Has anyone tried to make egg roll skins from scratch with egg, gluten-free flour and water and whatever else like...
  4. Thanks for the recipe. I think I will try them when school starts up again.
  5. Thanks!... sounds sooo good...we love tacos/nachos. I talked to a lady after church today and she said she puts chicken in hers. Shes the one that uses mayo and salsa. The internet recipes mostly use Catalina dressing I found out.

  7. I had taco salad at a potluck recently. It had Doritos, salsa, mayo, lettuce, cheese, etc. It was all mixed up with "soggy" chips. I don't think it had ground beef in it. Anyone have a really good recipe for it? I have never made it that way before. I want to make it soon...THANKS ! And double thanks!!
  8. You can go to recipezaar.com and then google in gluten free cakes. They list lots. These are not bundt cakes but I have tried #174346 Apple Cake and #209764 One Bowl Chocolate Cake. Both are wonderful and easy. I also tried #174106 Shortcakes. Its great too. You could put blueberries and whipped cream on top instead of strawberries.
  9. I use Bob's Red Mill gluten-free whole grain "rolled" oats. They look and act like Quaker Old Fashioned style oats compared to Quick oats. I make muffins and cookies with them. I pulse them in the blender 3 or 4 times to "chew" them up a little otherwise I find that they are a little tough (then they look more like Quick oats). I made no-bake cookies without...

  13. We did something similar with the girl scout troops in our area (10 yrs ago...wow time flies!) Each troop selected a country then on a certain day we all got together and presented what we learned (clothes, posters, maps, jewelry, foods, dances, songs, history, etc.) from each country including food samples. Ours was easy. We did Mexico and the girls chose...

  22. If "they" tell you to stop eating something and it would fix the problem, then you would'nt be giving them any more $. Supposing "they" don't know, why not? Who is teaching them? There are tons of Celiacs. I don't blame the docs but the ones teaching them...unless "they" both know...hmm. Other docs know and care to help their patients. My sister went to her...
  23. A whole bunch of great ideas!...I would add mini muffins with applesauce, peanut butter or fruit in them. Also take some wet wipes for all those finger foods.
