  1. Report on recipe #302922. They were good, texture was dry when rolling but I should have used a bit more water. I made them almost like the recipe, the flour choice makes them healthier. I used 1/4c. sorghum instead of chickpea, 1/4 c. Bob's gluten-free mix in place of 1/4 of rice. I used xanthan gum b/c I didn't have guar gum. They were very similar to...
  2. You're welcome! Our faith is to be shared same as our problems. As the body of Christ we are to lift each other up. Just like every person/health is different, so is what we believe. How much our faith grows is depended alot on our trials. This gluten one is a big one b/c we can't see inside. God wants our faith to get to the point of sacrifice as Abraham...
  3. Its all about faith. My struggle is God has revealed to my daughter that she is healed but God doesn't live in time like we do. Is she healed now...her body says no. Will she be healed in heaven...yes. Does she believe she is healed...yes, but it hasn't happened...yet. Then...how will she know she is healed since she can't know what is going on inside. Does...
  4. Hey, nobody has replied yet, sorry. I have 2 teens allergic to gluten so I just stopped by to say HI
  5. Before gluten when we could eat wheat, I studied a bit and found out the enzymes that people need are in raw food. To always eat raw food everytime you eat. To not drink 1/2 hour before or after you eat b/c it washes away the enzymes. To chew your food until it is liquid in the mouth so its easier to digest. To take digestive enzymes if you are not eating...
  6. I know that God can bless me /you/anyone that asks so you don't get glutened from the wafer. I know that God could heal you/anyone completely and permanently if he so chooses to do so. I know that we all may have a thorn in our flesh but God may choose not to remove it. I know that God wants the relationship with us not the rules and rituals that any church...
  7. We like how probiotics work for tummy aches before getting off gluten, back when we could eat out and would get belly aches from it.
  8. There are old posts stating the same things here. One said to pack on the mayo too.
  9. Has anyone tried recipezaar #302922? Its a gluten-free(vegan) tortilla recipe. I am going to try it tomorrow for my daughter who doesn't want to eat dairy, meat or eggs.
  10. I understand. Its very hard to find something that is gluten-free and meat, dairy and egg free all at the same time. My 16 year old is trying to be a gluten free-vegan for a month. She is not sick nor allergic to anything but we are watching it. She made it vegan for 10 days so far and almost gluten-free too except for some ritz crackers and some oat granola...
  11. Beans and brown rice make a complete protein. Bragg's liquid aminos tastes like soy sauce and has 16 amino acids. Pop your own popcorn on the stove in coconut oil. Almond, cashews and peanuts have over 20 grams of protein in a cup. Grind them up and put them in/on your food. Eat flax, chia, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. Only eat raw seeds not roasted, salted...
  12. And Muddy Buddies!!!
  13. I suggest someone to email them and ask what Tinkyada says to do.
  14. So, Rachel, your last sentence here talks about cocoa. My question is can cocoa or chocolate make your heart beat irregularly? I am not sick nor Celiac nor allergic to gluten. Also would chocolate be bad for those with allergies to dust and dander? Thanks for all your wisdom to everyone! Sorry, I don't know how to post a quoted sentence.

  17. We bought a new waffle iron at Walmart for 10 bucks. I make a batch and keep in the fridge for a couple of days or you can freeze them. Just pop them in the toaster. My daughter likes them with homemade apple pie filling on top. I use the recipe from Gluten Free Quick and Easy by Carol Fenster. Our health food store is about 120 miles round trip. That is...
  18. I posted the recipe I use under "Taco Shells" on June 14th. It should be on page 7. I have never used Pamela's baking mix, sorry.
  19. Not me, thanks. I was interested in that cook book until I found out it was "eggy". But I did learn how healthy coconut flour is so I have been putting 1T. up to 1/4 cup in my recipes.
  20. Look for fund raiser cook books. Especially those from churches. Their pot luck recipes are in them. They are cheap too. Or from clubs.
  21. I needed to boil some today. I used a 1 1/2 qrt stainless steel pan. Filled it 1/2 full of water. When it boiled, I put in a cup of curly noodles and a tsp of olive oil. Boiled them not to fast for 15 to 18 minutes. Then drained and rinsed them in hot water. No problem with them.
  22. Thanks for letting me know!
  23. So far I like Gluten Free Quick and Easy by Carol Fenster. Bette Hagman's recipes are very good. Try to go with a flour mix that has fiber and protein. Carol uses sorghum which has lots of both. Alot of Hagman's recipes use rice, which tend to be lower in fiber and protein and gritty but her recipes are still good. I also have Cooking Free by Carol Fenster...
  24. I suggest going to a good alternative medical doctor. We have an osteopath. He diagnosed my daughter allergic to gluten on the first visit. I thought she had endometriosis.
  25. I use some of McCormick taco seasoning mixed in the meat with some salsa. Very tastey with gluten-free homemade tortillas.
