  1. ya, i was thinking additional intolerances as well. i have them, and i dont know why im still testing them- i guess because i really love to eat this week i cheated and had corn chips.. and last night i had 3 pieces of Rudi's gluten-free bread.... and this morning ive got the "rocks in my abdomen" feeling... similar to gluten but not as bad... i honestly...
  2. oh i love them too! also find them at publix
  3. your celiac panel looks negative. however- that doesnt mean that you are not gluten intolerant. celiacs also run a 20% false negative rate. there are recent studies out too that show that nonceliac gluten intolerance is scientifically real- and that patients improve on a gluten free diet. do you feel better off gluten?? also remember too- that gluten...
  4. thankyou for your thoughts- it makes sense... i think im starting to calm down now- i just wanna feel better now im pretty sure im Hashi dominant... but even just now- i got the worst palpitations... and im always hot-- i honestly think im having both symptoms at the same time- but definitely more Hashi. i just switched to Armour this week- and...
  5. fyi- i just had left over gluten free chipotle- and even tho i usually avoid corn- i cheated and baked some gluten free corn tortilla chips with cheese to go with my food- and OY VEY- had a little HBP & tachycardia before i even finished my meal
  6. i was sad to give up my beloved Lindor truffles (they have barley malt). but that's ok... my go to candy is Almond M&Ms i always sneak some in to the movie theater with me (cause i cant tolerate peanuts).

    ARCHIVED Changing Lives

whenever i get really frustrated and worried about my family especially my dad who i totally think has celiac, and he wont get tested.. i try to remember the few people who have listened to me and actually changed course in their life. one of the first times this happened- i was at work- massaging my manager's neice. im an LMT, and we go over their...
  8. it has definitely been my experience! and on top of that- the Hashimoto's i have ALSO can cause depression and anxiety... and both Hashi & Celiac are triggered and aggravated by gluten.
  9. nonceliac gluten intolerance sounds about right. also- from what ive read-> wheat has more different protein chains than the human body- that is INSANE- no wonder we cant digest it. and yes, gliadin is only one of them- but i think scientists have determined that this one is the most problematic. but there's also Wheat Germ Agglutin- which aggravates...
  10. i understand wanting to have a diagnosis- it took me 2 years, and a closer look at my test, a genetic test, and a case of DH to finally motivate me to go gluten free- but as someone with Celiac, Graves, AND Hashimoto's- i would like to say- that you should seriously think hard within yourself if you need the diagnosis to go gluten free- (which of course...
  11. sometimes dairy fructose/fructans (hoping this is temporary) corn potatoes too much starch or complex carbohydrates coffee & tea in excess sugar in excess legumes **these are additional intolerances- had them before going gluten free and after- and i dont think all intolerances are necessarily related to gluten
  12. i have never heard of aspartame causing itching- but that doesnt mean it doesnt happen. i try to avoid it because it is a neurotoxin. i, personally havent experienced noticeable reactions to it- but my cousin gets partial seizures if she ever comes in to contact with it- even if it's just in toothpaste. it's incredibly toxic- and if you can avoid it- i suggest...
  13. ok, so, i am not familiar with the Iga Serum range for kids. your son's is at 69- i know for an adult- that would mean a slight Iga deficiency which would mean that any Iga test (be it ttg or antigliadin) would be innacurate or false negative. but idk- 69 for a kid may be in range. also i dont see the ranges for his results- so i cant say for sure- but in...
  14. yes, even tho i posted earlier that i didnt feel any "gluten reactions" from the synthroid- and felt comfortable with my phone call to them- i was thinking the past 2 days- wondering if it was still possible- that i was getting SOME gluten from it- BECAUSE- sometimes i dont get gut issues unless im getting a larger amount- for example- i may not get any...
  15. im sorry your pets are having such debhilitating issues- i love animals- they're so innocent and loving- and i am feeling brokenhearted for you. xxx
  16. i have horrific hemmohroids- they definitely qualify for surgery.. i had SLOW motility for 6 or 7 years- i blamed my gluten issues- but my motility never really improved untill i got on the right thyroid meds. i had no idea that i had been sitting FOREVER at a time because of an undiagnosed thyroid- and now there so bad i sometime cry and fear im not gonna...
  17. according to your lab range- i would say you're positive on your ttg. now if it was me- i would assume i had Celiac- i THINK a positive ttg can be attributed to other disorders- but sounds pretty suspect to me- especially if you have gluten symptoms that improve with a gluten free diet. they suggest biopsies cause they feel they cant diagnose without a positive...
  18. i think it's always possible- and maybe more so with allergies. i read that if you become overstressed, your body may become temporarily flooded with histamines- which im assuming could make you hyper allergic. also, ive had on & off reactions when it comes to raw vegetables- and im wondering if maybe we're reacting to some kind of pesticide or chemical...
  19. good luck with your endoscopy. like posters have said above- if i were you, as soon as you're done with the endo- try the diet- and know it can take some time to feel better from it. sounds like your doctor may have only tested for 2 things on your celiac panel: an antibody ?? (was it ttg or antigliadin?), and your Total Iga Serum. and it sounds like you...
  20. hhhmmmmmmm interestinggggg... because i didnt have problems with synthroid for months- and then twice in the past 6 weeks- my forearms erupted into HOT RED BUMPY rashes... they didnt itch the first episode, but now they're itching. i had suspected DH there over a year ago- but wasnt sure. and the OBVIOUS DH i had on my stomach has not come back. hhmmmm im...
  21. people say they have issues with Amy's because of cc... but i dont think i have... while i was itching one time from Blue Diamond Pecan Thins... the thing is- some of these places could have cc... BUT- i think a big problem is just overdoing the gluten free substitutes- because many of these products are tested at <20ppm... and if you're really sensitive...
  22. no, your Celiac dx is the right one. im not sure why your ttg only dropped to 56... you must still be getting gluten in somehow... i hope you can figure out if you are. and to clarify- your ANTIGLIADIN IGA were normal. and your ANTIGLIADIN IGG were slightly elevated. these are completely different antibodies than the TTG. now your TTG test & result...
  23. i used to use DigestGold too!! i dont have any enzymes now, cause i have too many supplements and not enough cash. for now, im finishing off my Betaine HCI, Bromelain, or Papaya Enzyme with meals.
  24. wow, idk... it seems like you eat pretty healthy... do u have any stomach cramping? or bloating? or just too soft "bm"s?? that smoothie, apple, and sweet potato are so good for you and probably making your bms really smooth- but i dont think you should not eat them... cause it's so healthy. i think you could maybe be eating more greens- i think it's important...
  25. have you had your thyroid checked?? cause i always blamed my constipation on my gluten issues, or my battle with quitting smoking... but it wasnt untill i started on thyroid meds- that i noticed a change, i had NO IDEA that the slow motility i had for the last 7 years could be from a Hypothyroid.
