    ARCHIVED Dh Sores

gggrrrrreeeeeAAAAAAATTTTTT... what the f r we supposed to do, if we have Hypo AND DH ??? just deal with it??? OY i know im jumping the gun... havent even been diagnosed with Hypo yet... but getting blood drawn in a week (and 4 years ago my TSH was 4.5 something).. but i DO have DH
  2. do they always leave scars?????
  3. yes yes yes, i second ravenwood- as soon as i saw this post title- i thought: "i wonder if she's confused with DH... A LOT of pics look similar"... in fact- ive been on google pics a lot- and i swear a lot of those pics are mislabeled- OR the people didnt know what the rashes were. im not a doc, but i thought that people only got chicken pox once... and...
  4. oops, nevermind kay- just saw your earlier post about your sourdough being made with gluten-free flours :/
  5. you're gluten free, but you're eating sourdough wheat bread????? that has gluten in it ????
  6. maybe you just have a stronger virus than you've had before???? how long have you been gluten free?? i would assume that being gluten-free, you would be more healthy and ready to fight infections.... could you possibly have Mono- that wipes people out more than regular viruses, and takes longer. hhmmmmm..... hope u feel better soon!
  7. years ago, i always had RED cheeks- not neccesarily hot unless i drank alchohol- but BEET RED- since i was 11 or 12- this is what led my docs to begin testing me for Lupus which was always negative- FF to age 28- i went on Atkins, then Bloodtype O diet-> red cheeks went away. i also occasionally get hot red ears- everyone has said that is either blood...
  8. i dont think everyone's body is made to eat meat... but on top of that-> i feel great on a paleo type diet- i feel great after eating meat HOWEVER-> (for me at least)- i feel best only eating 2-5 oz at a sitting/combining the meat with vegtables/ AND having the meat be GOOD quality and cooked medium rare. i am telling u- i am a meat eater!!!! but if...
  9. wait- i used to go to melting pot all the time (years ago, before i even heard of celiac)- what was the cornstarch substituting???? i dont ever remember them putting any kind of flour or starch in my cheese??? i really dont remember that- and i would prefer no cornstarch either! i do remember they would put worchestisire sauce &/or beer in it- hhmmmmm...
  10. ya, agree with above poster. im always suggesting to people to get a copy of their results.... so many doctors do not order complete tests... there's so many different tests to diagnose celiac, and it can be so tricky that people may need ALL of the tests to get any answers! if i had not gotten most of the tests- i would probably still be eating gluten- maybe...
  11. this description right here sounds like some of the symptoms people with schizophrenia have! im not saying u have that of course.... BUT i have read that (i cant remember if it was TTG or Antigliadin)- but in those who had Autism, or Schizophrenia-> there was a larger percentage with one of these antibodies than there are in the general population! i dont...
  12. whoaaaaa i think thats slightly crazy.... I dont think thats the norm. I do however thinks its very common for those who know they have gluten issues but were never diagnosed or tested to cheat. I cheated for years till i grasped my results and ordered a genetic test.... And my family has not considered testing yet- partly cause most of them dont eat enough...
  13. oh i second cypress mist- u should find a better gi or naturopath- there is still so much to be considered- i had read once that pain in the umbillical region could be parasite related... I myself am still guessing because i get weird pains too in almost every area of my abdomen tho i suspect i am dealing with a lot of muscular and fascial issues. There...
  14. lactose intolerance often goes hand in hand with gluten intolerance, plus- you got that newer test with a result of 31. My antigliadin (older test) was negative and my ttg was only a 7... And now i have DH- so you really should listen to your gut (and pun included, lol), and stay on the gluten free path! It is NOT in your head
  15. i doubt it is anything to worry about too. i DID read a recent study about gluten being found in human breast milk(from the mother's consumption).. and the author of the article suggested that it's a possibility that we may have a problem on our hands with grain fed dairy products..??? i try to get grass fed dairy at whole foods... but i dont stress when...
  16. i do NOT think a mouthguard filled with fluoride at night is a good idea at all. fluoride is actually a poison. ive got a little thinning, and a few holes in my teeth... not sure what advice to give other than using sensitive toothpaste, and flossing regularly. **u might want to get your vitamin levels checked- maybe supplementing your D & Calcium...
  17. untill you DO get clear answers on a Celiac diagnosis or not- you should follow your gut and stay gluten free- i just saw this tonight on facebook-> (i follow greenmedinfo on twitter & facebook- and they just started a new site exclusively for wheat & gluten)... they always have informative articles. this one is about wheat & diabetes:...
  18. i agree, and believe you are Celiac... i agree that what he saw was probably mild villi blunting but not bad damage. welcome
  19. i think its a good idea to get one- i did and it put my mind to ease. Undiagnosed Celiac can potentially lead to all kinds of issues- so it cant hurt to get checked. i was very happy to get mine done- because with all the pain i was having, i just wanted to make sure i didnt have anything else like diverticulitis, or cancer... i only had 1 benign polyp...
  20. hmmm i guess this is why a lot of us feel better when we're eating naturally gluten free foods and not all the "treats/breads/cereals"... i try to keep them to a minimum, but it's hard
  21. if you dont need a diagnosis to motivate yourself, then just stay on the gluten-free diet- you deserve to feel better. if i were you, i would ask for a copy of your test results- you should have your own copy so you can understand your own numbers- i did this, and they mailed them both to me-> after researching- i learned more about my results than my...
  22. ive had puffy/red/sensitive eyes for the last 5 years.. and im suspecting a hypothyroid. gluten intolerance and thyroid issues often go hand in hand.. and recently a friend sent me a list of hypothyroid symptoms- and puffy eyes & rhinitis were on there. of course allergies, and gluten & dairy can be the main causes... but mine have not gotten better...
  23. Barki- had you already been eating "mostly gluten free" at the time of your bloodwork?? this would make your tests very unreliable. also, there are several different tests that can lead to a celiac dx... plus there's false negatives. celiac and diabetes 1 have been linked before- dont give up on this thought process you're on-> MOST of us have experience...
  24. they SNEAK it in wherever they can dont they!!!! so annoying. a week before i set on this 100% Gluten Free life- i really started to investigate EVERYTHING. i had done atkins & bloodtype before- so i THOUGHT i was prepared- but i had no idea how they put gluten in EVERYTHING- Mini Altoids... Lindor Truffles.. ridiculous also- there's a site called...
