  1. Oh,I forgot when I tried to link it from the other topic it did't work either. This should do the trick! Open Original Shared Link If you make it, let me know if you get it to rise decent. Mine didn't, but it could have been the extra long stoneweare pan I was using. I think I will proof my yeast first next time too.
  2. Here are a few responses I have gotten back from some of the companies I contacted. Maybe it will help someone else. 1. Johnson's (Not much help but can make extra phone calls) Thank you for contacting the Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. Information Center. It is always important to hear from our consumers, and we appreciate...
  3. I use health valley cream of mushroom, celerey and chicken. However they are not condensed so you may have to adjust the liquid. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link It looks like some of the labeling has changed since I bought it last. Call the company to be sure still. I'll send them an email and see what...
  4. I have two recipes that you may try. Here is the link to the first one. I have not made these yet. Open Original Shared Link She has alot of other great recipes also. I have tried this recipe. I have made it once. I used 1/2 brown rice and quinoa flour. Found the quinoa a bit strong. You can use any flour you want or combination to get a variety...
  5. This recipe was posted in Favorite recipes for last year. I have made this bread twice. The flavor was good but too dense for me. Instead of using olives I took cloves of garlic and sliced them and added it to the batter. (I used quite a few cloves maybe 1/2 head) So not wanting to waste it, I dried it and made bread crumbs. I mixed it with some plain...
  6. Glad someone brought this up. I have not had these in a long time. I originally bought the gluten free oats for that reason. I made some other cookies first and, well we will just say I was not a happy camper. Are the flakes instant flakes sorta like potato flakes?
  7. Lynayah--Hubby does really care too. We both have adapted to his chronic condition and I would much rather deal with gluten than what he has had to deal with in the last 4 1/2 years. We'll get through it. I know what you mean, I've glutened myself before too! Last dumb one was eating some little milkyway bars I stole from the kids halloween candy. Later...
  8. I felt the best I have felt in awhile last night. Where I had not eaten my blood sugar dropped way low and I was a royal b***h. I cooked dinner and actually felt really good after. I was hungry later and ate some nut thins and even ate some icecream. I did not start getting any heartburn until around 2:00 am, took 4 tums and went to bed. Feel good for...
  9. I tried Bob's Red Mill gluten free oats last June and had a very bad reaction. I probably won't try again.
  10. For the most part it is the kid's job to feed the animals. I always wash after I play and pet the animals. Dog is not a licker, but cat is sometimes. They get fed once a day after school so no food is ever sitting in the bowl to get knocked around. They usually clean it up. I am considering putting the cat on the same brand as the dog food. I am currently...
  11. Thanks for the encouragement. It still goes to show that it is always a learning process no matter how long it has been.
  12. I have been having similar symptoms as you. I went for a gallbladder ultrasound and it was normal. I am going to have a hida scan next. If that turns out normal I think the doc wants to rescope me. Keep your appointment. These symptoms are not normal. I also found out gliadin antibody IgG is still elevated. I'm also having to look for hidden gluten...
  13. Cool! Thanks everybody. I think I will give it a go. I noticed on their menu online that they stated their rice was not gluten free. I figure they must season it somehow. I went to a different steak house in Sieverville, Tn and spoke to the waitstaff/chef and did realy great. I played it safe with the steamed veggie plate.
  14. I used the biscodyl tablets, but I didn't have any other intolerences. I did the gallon of Golytely. Then after I got to same day surgery, the nurse came in and told me I was to have a warm water enema! I knew nothing of that prior. She told me that the doc likes to do them just to finish cleaning out. I let them do it but was embarassed. I figured...
  15. The last time I went out to eat was in July. I want to go out to eat with my parents when they come to visit. There is an Outback Steak House near a store they want to go to. What are your experiences with this restaurant?
  16. I am replacing my 5 year olds play doh so I can play with him and not have the risk of cross contamination. I just ordered a variety pack of Soy-Yer dough. I believe it has 11- 6 oz tubs in a variety of colors. They do have a soy free version if you have problems with that. They are scented, so if smells bother you this may not be desireable. I know...
  17. I have made several things with coconut flour and really liked them. I have yet to make brownies. Are they more cake-like? I would think so sice you have to use so many eggs to bind.
  18. I'm average height at 5' 7" and my husband is 6' and not a hulky build (lean). My boys have always been small, but continue to stay on their growth curve. My parents were average height (5' 6" and 5' 11") and my husbands mother is short and father probably as tall as him. There are tall and short people in the mix. As for my 9 year old, yes he is one...
  19. I actually have had the opposite problem. I have made brownines from scratch and used a few mixes and they were cake like. I like a fudgy chewy brownie. I found the Betty Crocker and Gluten Free Pantry mix turns out fudgy/chewy brownies that I like. I'll have to look at the eggs and maybe adjust mine too.
  20. Ahh, this is what my mother kindly refers to as s**t on a shingle. It is one of her favorite dishes. I like the idea of putting it over hashbrowns. I may have to make sausage gravy and (I like it better than hamburgur) try it with the hashbrowns. I can't seem to make a edible gluten free biscuit.
  21. My kids are not diagnosed celiac and not on gluten free diets. Debated putting oldest on because of his seasonal/year round allergies, but have not yet (long story). Just thought I would give you a non celiac perspective. My oldest just turned 9(3rd grade) and is 51" (4' 3") and around 58-60 lbs. He did not grow much before and from July '09 to Dec....
  22. Well at least something is going right. Feb. '10 tTg IgA = 6 May '09 tTg IgA = 10 Sept '08 tTg IgA = 75 or 78 (I think) reference range 19 and up positive
  23. I know for sure there is no double dipping in any jars. Most everything is in squeeze bottles. I've made a list of things for me to check on. If anyone knows the status I'd appreciate it. I've been researching and contacting. Gold Bond lotions, Johnson's baby wash and lotions, equate liquid soap-milk and honey, windex, lysol antibacterial kitchen cleaner...
  24. My levothyroine is from Mylan and it is gluten free. My liothyronine is from Padock and I confirmed it is gluten free also. My folic acid and b12 are Nature made and it states gluten free on their website and bottles. My probiotic the same thing dds I think. I take slow Fe when I remember. Occasionally I will take a generic zyrtec usually cvs brand...
