Great on the workout! I have been doing alot of lower body since that is where I need the most focus. I did more of a lower body work out yesterday and it really worked my glutes and thighs. Tonight I was able to do about a 20 min workout focusing on upper body. Thank goodness not alot of jumping or running. It made me feel like I accomplished something...

Well I finaly got in today for the hida scan. I have my report, but have not talked to my doctor yet. Here it is: FINDINGS: After the administration of 6.48 mCi of Tc 99 m Choletec multiple views of the abdomen were obtained. The liver, common bile duct, gallbladder and small bowel are demonstrated in a timely fashion. There does appear to be... -
Well I did exercise today. Wow it was a little rough, but it felt good! I got in a good 25 mins. I'm going to try again tomorrow. I sleep so good when I do this regulary. I appreciate the support. I know what is right for my body and don't get hung up on the whole BMI thing. I'm going to get my bike in the shop for a tune up so it will be ready for...

Sounds great! My goal for the week is to work out 5 times for around 20-30 min. each session. Sunday and Monday were a bust. I'm going this am for my hida scan. I was going to work out yesterday eve. but stomach was not cooperative. In all honesty, I'll be doing good to get 3-4 times in this week, but I'll just keep trying! I am sort of following the...

The EA Sports Active wii disc has multiple workouts with different intensity levels from easy to hard. It also has a preselected work out option they call the 30 day challange. You select your intensity (easy, medium or hard) and it sets up a exercise schedule for you over a 30 day time frame. You can track your progress, set goals and enter things in...

Is she in school? If so, she could be coming in contact with gluten there. Is there any potential for contamination at home? -
I've had to take another look at my household. I'm the gluten free one of the bunch. I have a husband and two boys ages 9 and 5. Since Jan. I have been miserable. I am in the process of ruling out gallbladder issues, but since my aga was still elevated I had to look at crosscontamination issues as well. I sat back and realized there were areas that needed...

This sounds like a fun thread. I started exercising the end of Dec. My husband bought me the EA sports Active for the Wii. I had not done much before this. I can say it definately can make you sweat. I have not done anything in the past 2 1/2 weeks because I have been not feeling well and when I would try and exercise I almost would throw up. I'm starting...

I've been following the South beach diet. The first two weeks I lost 13 lbs. I didn't eat any grains either. I was already diagnosed for almost a year before starting it, just wanted to loose some of the extra pounds. I have had some issues come up recently so I have not suck to the plan. I attribute my (eventual) diagnosis to my youngest son. He had...

ARCHIVED Am Not Sure What Is Going On...

I just had over valentine's weekend, some strawberries and gluten-free pretzels all dipped in Ghiradelli chocolate. The store had 2/ $5.00 on the bags of milk chocolate chips. I melted it in a double boiler and made myself and the kids a special treat. I had some left so I stirred in some whole almonds and spread it out on waxed paper to cool. I broke... -

I can sympathize with you. It can be very aggrivating to try and find hidden sources of gluten. I have been on a hunt for awhile and changing some rules in the house. I think I am getting somewhere. I would not eat oats for awhile especially the non certified gluten free ones. Maybe even go without the gluten free ones to see if that helps. I miss oatmeal... -

ARCHIVED Play Doh Alternatives?
Roda replied to mom2twoangels's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
The soy-yer dough came today. I washed all of my son's play doh toys so we could play with the new stuff. We love it! It works really well with his toys. The scents are very subtle, not to strong. Some of them I can hardly tell they are scented. He has a martian matter toy that uses a wheat based modeling compound that I am going to clean up tomorrow... -

Still having some heartburn, but not as bad. I took my first kapidex and it did help. However, I'm not going to take anymore at this time. I don't want the rebound acid reflux by stopping them. The Bloating and burping have come back ugg! I'm going to call Monday and ask for the Hida scan. I don't see what it will hurt and it will rest my mind. I quit... -
Are you looking at other potential things that may be causing cross contamination? I am the only one in my house gluten free and what I thought was working, has turned out to come back and haunt me in the last 1-1 1/2 months. I really got to paying more attention to everyones habits and found lots of potential problems. I am addressing those now. It sucks...
