  1. Let me preface by saying that I swear I'm not a lunatic... Just super confused :/ I am sorry this is so long of a description but I'm desperately in need of some opinions on what to do in this situation... I have a roommate that is poisoning me with gluten. I don't know if its intentional or unintentional. I don't know whether to talk to him about it or just...
  2. That a great idea to keep track of it, especially because my worst symptoms are the brain fog and emotional symptoms. They get me so confused sometimes I don't know up from down.
  3. Sounds like your medication is a possibility. However, one of the most pronounced symptoms I get when I get glutened is an unbearable instant depression. I'm a happy person generally so when it hits ita very noticeable to myself and those around me and it's terrible.
  4. There is really no difference between low gluten & lots of gluten... If you're going to poison yourself it really doesn't matter how much poison you take! BevMo has some great gluten free beers, I think my favorite so far is Red Sail.
  5. How dis you end up? I don't think you're crazy, I struggle with multiple issues & often wonder which symptoms are from which. it can be very frustrating! It usually take me 24 hours for the diziness & emotional symptoms and then another 24 & the pain & GI issues start. What was your experience?
  6. I have no problems with snickers, junior mints, baby Ruth... My absolute favorite & what helped me gain weight back are the new snickers peanut butter squared. I kept a bag of those in the fridge and popped one whenever I felt a sugar craving. They helped me to keep weight on & also helped me to not feel so "deprived." we have ro say no to SO many...
  7. Or anywhere near?
  8. I am only up to number four on the books and movies. Been reading a book then watching the corresponding movie then on to the next.. I'm so far behind!
  9. The Help was my moat recent Dave. Also, all of the Michael Connely books- the Lincoln Lawyer series and te Harry Bosch series. And of course the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo books!
  10. It goes both ways... untreated celiac can lead to diabetes. But diabetics a lot of time also end up with celiac. I am being tested now for diabetes as some of my symptoms haven't improved with the gluten free diet. Hope it's not diabetes too cause that will really narrow down the food options!
  11. And don't feel bad about being "a bit of a hypochondriac" I think all of us that battled celiac for a long time before diagnosis were almost forced into that. For me it was a desperate search for what the heck was making me sick all the time. Celiac is the great mimicker and there are literally hundreds of symptoms it can have.
  12. I get the same thing and that's usually a sure sign I've veen glutened. However I get ovarian cysts from time to tine too and those cause a similar pain. Whichever the cause a heating pad works wonders!
  13. I am going through the same thing exactly. Got glutened Sunday, finally felt better yesterday then today not only was the D back and the brain fog but I also got a slight sore throat and stuffed sinuses. it really sucks but it helps to know what the problem is, for some reason I'm able to relax more knowing Thayer eventually that gluten WILL be out of ny...
  14. As unsettling as it is, yes it happens. It happened to me all the time before I went gluten free and now it happens when I accidentally get glutened. I think it usually comes towar then end when I'm just about done with the stomach problems. I feelfor you! You are fine though, dont let it freak you out. Just let it resolve you to e more vigilant about cross...
  15. It helps me to focus on what I CAN have & just try to forget about the rest. It might sound dorky but I literally say to myself as I walk through the grocery store "I can still have that!" I do it in an over exaggerated way. But I make an effort to point out to myself all the things I can have, especially the junk food I also make a point not to even...
  16. You are right about that. Sometimes I think I "can't" get out and do anything but if I force myself to it usually helps. I just feel like it sets me back light years emotionally to go through this :/
  17. Thank you, me too. Other times when I've accidentally ingested a tiny amount I've only been affected 2-4 days. I guess for the amount I got this time it figures I would feel it longer.
  18. I'm an idiot & took a drink of my boyfriends beer instead of my own on Sunday. I have been miserable ever since! Mood issues, brain fog, diarrhea, trouble sleeping... I thought I was feeling better this morning but now I'm back to the toilet again. Is this all from one swig of beer? Cause it's been 3 days and my stomach feels worse today than it did a...
  19. Wow I'm sorry for everything you all go through but I appreciate you sharing because it does help me to not feel crazy. Three times this has happened & it always starts first with an extreme emotional dive then onto the physical stuff later. The last two times I was struggling to figure out how I got contaminated- this time I knew the second I grabbed...
  20. That sounds awful. Bleeding? I have the diarrhea, a migraine, emotional down in the dumps feeling, muscle weakness, back pain, and feeling like my insides are bei g squeezed.
  21. I got glutened yesterday & I'm having a really rough time today. I'm curious what symptoms you all have when you get glutened. I'm still having a hard time believing what's going on with me.
  22. The toothache did go away on it's own. I wonder how long it will take to get this little bit of gluten out of my system?? I'm so miserable today!
  23. I never could have imagined the happiness & good feelings that would could from going Gluten-Free. But tge last two weeks I have been having some problems. I was taking too much Tylenol for a toothache & that was upsetting my stomach then I starting having issues with constipation again then I accidentally glutened myself big time at a BBQ. I have...
  24. I felt great for the first two months Gluten-Free but the last month ive been struggling with stomach issues again & feel hopeless. I never took any of this cross-contamination stuff THAT seriously. Could it really be because I feed the dogs if I forget to wash my hands after? Or kissing my fianc
