  1. We use arrowhead mills gluten free cornmill and really like it. For a quick mix, we use Pamela's gluten free cornbread and muffin mix. We really like both products.
  2. Bryers and Dryers both have a gluten free list of their ice creams on their webistes. Most of the varities are gluten-free, except for the obvious ones. Be careful of Walmart Brand (great value) Ice Cream..it says right on the label may contain wheat. We eat ChickFilA's icecream in a cup (no shakes), DQ ice cream in a cup (no blizzards due to the CC...
  3. I still find traveling a bit daunting, but doable. I always look to see if there is a Celiac Support Group in the area where we are traveling, and if they do, I contact them to find out their list of gluten free resturants. I find this really helpful. We also always look for the standard chain resturants that do a good job of gluten free...PFChangs and...
  4. Don't hesitate to try PFChangs again! We love PFChangs and when we travel, we are very happy when we find out if the city we are staying in has one. We have eated at PFChangs in 5 different states and have always had a good experience! Good luck with the new gluten free diet!
  5. My daugther, son and I flew into SLC last month late at night, and Wendy's was the only place still open that had a gluten free menu so we stopped and ate there. We both ordered the chili and were both sick that night and into the next morning. That was my first time ordering food from Wendy's since going gluten free. My son, who does not have celiac disease...
  6. For a thin, crispy pizza crust, we use Udi's frozen pizza crust (we buy at Whole Foods but you can buy online..) For a thicker, homemade crust I make Gluten Free Pantrys French Bread mix and make it into pizza crust. It does not roll out like regular pizza crust, it is sticky, so I pat it in the pan with a spoon, but I like it thick and it works good. ...
  7. I'm sorry you are going through the stressing part of finding out about celiac disease and wondering what is gluten-free and worrying about CC. It is hard when you are first dx, but it does get easier! I remember going through the grocery store for 3 hours, crying, with my cell phone in hand calling the different companies about their products! It is overwhelming...
  8. Udi's gluten-free Blueberry Muffins are wonderful! They are moist and delicious and so yummy. They remind me of muffins that I used to eat that were full of gluten! You can never tell they are gluten free. You can order them online from Udi's site, or I get mine from Whole Foods in the freezer section if you have a Whole Foods by you. Also, their whole grain...
  9. Bill Johnson's BBQ sauce is gluten-free. We live in Arizona where the resturant is located, so I'm not sure if you can get it in other parts of the country. We buy it at our local Costco. Our other local grocery stores have it too. It is really good!
  10. Thanks for the info. I was wondering my self about this product. I had heard it was really great for lips, but hadn't contacted the company yet! Can't wait to buy some and try it!
  11. 3 minute microwave mircacle cake! My favorite when I'm craving something sweet and cake like. It really only takes 5 minutes from start to finish! Ya! Heres the recipe: And it is really this simple! 3 packets swiss miss hot chocolate (swiss miss is gluten-free, not all brands of hot chocolate are tho so be careful! We love swiss miss) 4 TBSP Pamelas...
  12. Thanks for the update information. I am happy that General Mills is on board with making more and more products gluten free! I have been happy with many of the General Mills prodcuts. Can't wait to try the new Bisquick!
  13. Thats too bad. CC is such a problem most of the time. I'm always a little afraid to eat out...I was hoping since Logan's is a national chain, it would make traveling a little easier if people have had good experiences there. Summer is coming up, and traveling is always hard, and the last thing you want it is to be sick on your vacation!! Thanks for your...
  14. I just keep hoping for new places to eat out!!!
  15. We have a Logans Roadhouse down the street from us. I decieded to contact the resturant to see if they had gluten free options. They did and we have since visited 4 times in the last 2 months. Everytime we go, they print a new gluten free menu for us so it is up to date. They have been good about preparing the food seperatley. I did get sick once with...
  16. My reply from Sensodyne Co in 2010 Dear Ms. Perry, Thank you for contacting us regarding Sensodyne
  17. Eating out gluten free, no matter where it is, there is always concern for cross contamination (CC). We have found 2 pizza resturants in the Phoenix area (Spinatos, Picazzos) that have gluten free crust. Both of these resturants have sepearte screens they bake the gluten-free crust on. Both of the resturants also do not prepare the pizza on the regular...
  18. I've read good things about Udi's cafe's in the Denver area. I've never been to Denver since going gluten-free, but check out their site. We love their bread. Open Original Shared Link Good luck! We just got back from a 5 day trip and traveling can be so hard. Luckily we found a few resturants in the town we were in and ate their often. Also, PFCHangs...

  20. You ought to try Udi's Blueberry muffins! The best blueberry muffins I've ever eat! They are sold frozen and oh so good! Also the betty crocker gluten-free cake mixes are good. We really like the chocolate. The yellow one I use for other things including pineapple upside down cake and to add strawberries in to make a strawberry cake. Pretty good. I use...
  21. Thank you Happy Holly for the information. I will be very careful when buying products there. This has happened to me else where too. Very frustrating. Thanks for the heads up!
  22. We recently ate at Spinattos Pizza in Tempe, AZ (by Tempe Marketplace) and had a great experience. The manager and the cook both came out and talked to us regarding their preperation of gluten-free pizza to help prevent CC. The use seperate utensils, cooking sheets, and toppings. They do not prepare the gluten-free pizza on the regualar pizza line. We...
  23. We are traveling soon to SLC, Utah and the Provo, Utah area. Anyone have any good suggestions for eating out gluten-free besides PFChangs/Outback? We are going to be there for about 4 days. Thank You! Have a happy day:)
