  1. Ditto to GFManna and DA. We use Pacific Naturals, but normally we make our own. It is way tastier and better for you than processed (even if you buy organic).
  2. Who knows where the time goes - Eva Cassidy
  3. Who's been talking - Howlin' Wolf
  4. The Cowboy Song - Smothers Brothers
  5. Over There - Glenn Miller
  6. Louis - Wayman Tisdale
  7. I'd go the whole wide world - The Monkees
  8. D is probably tied with B12 for the most common deficiency with celiac disease. I've been gluten-free for a little over two years now, and I'm still on 8,000 IU/day per Dr. order. Last blood workup my D levels were still in the normal range (I'm due for another workup soon). Remember D is a fat-soluble only, so if you are not eating adequate amounts of...
  9. Open Original Shared Link "...a new science-based gluten-free certification program is now available from the leading organic certifier Quality Assurance International (QAI), and the healthcare nonprofit National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA)."
  10. I cannot tolerate soy lecithin either. It seemed to be a cumulative effect at first, but now I seem to react to it almost immediately, and if it is in tea, I react to it within minutes.
  11. Well (as a former board op) the bump thing gets annoying for people after a while because they don't know if it is just a 'bump' or if it's new useful content. Plus it starts to tick off moderators after a while. And if you have one thread that does it, pretty soon some people start doing it to all their threads because they are sure their thread is worthy...
  12. Almost totally grain free here as well.
  13. If you have a Candida issue, ANY sugar or starch (aka sugar) will feed it. Since your Dr. refused to get you tested for deficiencies, especially given your symptoms, IMO you need to start looking for a new Dr. ASAP, possibly an MD/ND who specialize in nutrition. Second, I normally tell people that I'm cautious of certain supplements without having some...
  14. No you didn't misunderstand! It was positive and was what I was hoping for! I just didn't realize that this particular forum software wouldn't allow me to edit my top post after 30 minutes. I wanted to keep the discussion going, but have the very first entry (my original one) be a 'summary' of all the top two (or three) pieces of advices that everybody...
  15. Now you have gluten floating EVERYWHERE!
  16. Die to Live - Steve Vai
  17. Hi Laura, Hopefully I can make a suggestion that might help. Prep ahead of time. I mean buy some freezer bags and screw top freezeable containers. Get two weeks of your broths, soup stocks, etc, prepared ahead of time - before you start. Get your lard, ghee, butter, sea salt, etc ,whatever you are going to be using for fat stock and cooking ahead of time...
  18. Bacon. About a half a pound (cooked weight).
  19. I honestly can't even imagine what a slice of whole wheat bread would do to me. Just thinking about it is making me feel nauseous. I'm not joking. I read the OP and by the time I got done skimming the replies I was feeling kinda queasy at the thought.
  20. Hi Skylark. I came up positive from Enterolab on the TTG. My wife came up negative on gliadin and TtG but positive on casein, which also showed up on another IgG/IgE food sensitivey panel from another source.
  21. Hmm...what I was hoping to do was go through and summarize one entry per line all the top two. Then I wanted to edit my first post to keep the list there and I'd update it periodically. That way the list would be easily findable without a newbie having to wade through tons of replies. But since I can't edit the top post anymore, I'm not sure how to proceed...
  22. My insomnia is also affected by soy and dairy as well as gluten. Soy probably actually makes that worse for me then gluten does.
  23. Of course I feel strongly about my correct opinion!
  24. Ditto (+1) to GFM. I can't even risk kissing my wife when she is wearing certain lipstick. A binge and purge would be of no benefit to anyone that I can think.
