    Lol i dont know if i've heard of such a thing like that . I know there are masks for carpentry and stuff. But that is kinda a good idea...to have something i can breathe thru (instead of breathing in the open air) ~ Lisa ~

    Thats interesting. I might have to look into it. That is on 22nd. Mom's Nutrition is usually one of my main shopping spots in S'toon for gluten-free stuff. Do you know the price range by some chance?? I'm going to S'toon tomorrow/thursday but dont think i'll be stopping into Mom's (going to Dad's Nutrition instead--other end of the city). I appreciate it...

    Thank you **hugs back**. you're right, i could definitely use some. And just to add to everything, my landlady called wednesday night and said I have to out by Monday . So i havent had time to relax or try recover from the whole doctors thing. Been trying to move back home as quick as possible (like i needed to be back here, right??) ~ Lisa ~

    No, i havent. I think doctors here in Canada are ignorant no matter what you have. It seems like once they got their mind set on one thing they think its that and dont give any effort to prove themselves wrong ~ Lisa ~

    The thing is that they werent supposed to test me for Celiac...it was supposed to be for Crohn's/Colitis/something similar. I never asked to be tested for celiac AGAIN. i know that diet works. The 2 doctors who did listen to me have already left town...so I got nobody really. I'm positive its an IBD...side on fire = inflammation, clearly. A couple people...

    Anyone but Ottawa!!! I may be Canadian, but sorry. I absolutely cannot stand the Sens. I have 2 exceptions: Heatley and Spezza. Otherwise the rest can kiss my you-know-what.     I had colonoscopies and endoscopies and small bowel follow-through and an ultrasound and given stool samples and tons of bloodwork (that i dont even know what for) to test this area and nothing showed up, then again, I live in Saskatchewan....In the states, i'm sure the docs can find the problem a.s.ap. ~ Lisa ~

    They could be right that its the high carb stuff that's added to you. For people like me its almost necessary. I'm a Celiac that could constantly drop weight so I eat a lot of breads and pastas and use extra margarine even. I guess in a way, be blessed you can stick where you are and not gain too much!     I think it depends on the doctor and just what he's testing for. I've both had to and not had to for colonoscopies and endoscopies. ~ Lisa ~

    If it is blood in your stools, your stools would be black (believe me, I've had it so many times already, I know!!!). Maybe get a pelvic and stomach ultrasound if you can?? That may pick something up. ~ Lisa ~

    like psawyer said, if it says gluten-free here in Canada, it is. And if it's stated gluten-free and isn't, even if it's not labelled gluten-free, we can report it to the Canada Food Inspection Agency and they'll look into it. That's how strict the law is.     I have another brainfog moment today: When i got up this morning i had my watch on my bed and half an hour later I was looking for it and couldnt find it.     It is possibe you are one of us non common Celiac's that can be 100% gluten-free and still lose weight. The only times I rarely gain in when (in my first year) I kinda went on a cheating spree from almost snapping. But since then I have been insanely strict.     When you say farms...did you mean just a friends farm or some huge one with tons of animals? that could make a difference too in how much you should worry about contamination. I dunno what its like in the US, the farms and whatever they have at fairs for petting animals..I grew up in a major farming community..this whole damn province's biggest business is...

    Yes, you are correct Ryan. Hay is just grass usually, which is often what's made into bails, and straw is the grain thats on the fields.     Couldnt have said it better!! Thats exactly the troubles I have (even the one dealing with money since you know...thats almost my career)..I can also add putting something down and then within a couple of minutes forgetting where you placed it even tho you put it in a place you know you'd remember...' My biggest challenge with brainfog os try explaining...
