  1. You get white spots under your skin? That is probably due to lack of something in your diet. How long have you been gluten free? Celiac can cause deficiencies due to not being able to absorb nutrients properly. You may want to see a doctor to see what you are deficient in so you can get a supplement to take. Do you take vitamins now?
  2. Did you hear they were stopping sales at all locations or just ones where you live? They better not take them away
  3. Karen Do you wash your hands after making their meals? It can be easily cross contaminated since they eat gluten. Do you ever go to your food after handling theirs..you could easily be getting traces in that way Hope you find the culprit of the reaction....
  4. Karen Do you also use gluten free products?
  5. what about someone who goes to the ER for a supposed heart attack and is given medication for that(only to contain gluten) then the person reacts and they dont know whats wrong......im brainstorming here so don't mind me lol and yeah maybe I'll get to 1000 posts soon

  7. what about someone who has gluten "shock" and doesn't realize they have celiac and goes to the ER a few times and and then the common factor is eating something with gluten and a doctor picks up on it and orders tests done and it turns out they are celiac and then he explains it.....ok I have never seen this show so I may be way off on my idea but just a...

  11. Yeah I know how it feels...took me a while to get used to the diet and it annoyed me but I was reminded constantly...it could be worse. Being off of the diet 1-2 weeks prior to testing could change results...hopefully it does not change results in your case but it very well could. Over here doctors can be the same way. It took me about 4 days to get results...
  12. That's great you were able to feel better so quick from it. I didn't see a major difference till 3 months and then took me another couple months to get back to normal. Did you get your tests done while you were still on gluten? That can make tests come back negative for celiac if you have been gluten free. Good luck with everything
  13. I know it can come from lack of calcium. It can come from celiac because if you are malnourished from certain things that could show up.
  14. It's saying you have a gluten sensitivity gene but not a celiac gene. So basically gluten is bad for you but it's not like a celiac bad. It's saying that it would probably be beneficial for you with the diet...considering your symptoms were alot better maybe that's the way to go
  15. How long have you been on a gluten free diet? I know it can be hard at first since it is a tough adjustment and your not sure what you can have or not have but it gets easier...if you need any help just email me or something and I can help you out
  16. Can he have soy? If so Silk is a good brand of soy milk(I love the chocolate) to have and they have a list of their gluten free products.
  17. Rice Krispies are not ok for us. They contain barley malt and are a definite no for us. Hope you feel better One cereal we can have are cocoa and fruity pebbles...they are manufactured by Post which is a branch of Kraft foods so they will not hide anything.
  18. Lesliean-It sounds to me like you need to be on the gluten-free diet. You have not only the genes but your symptoms went away with just a little trial of going gluten-free. That should be a big hint right there that you should be on the gluten-free diet. Good luck with everything
  19. It seems logical...I don't personally have this problem but I know some people on the board do...thanks for sharing

  24. My GI doc ordered these tests done for me but really any doctor can order them done. A family doctor or GI can give orders for these blood tests. The doctor will give you a lab sheet and you go to the lab to get blood drawn and a few days later you'll have the results.
  25. I have no questions either but just post whatever notes you take or anything you find out...thanks for doing this celiac3270
