  1. I take Enzymatic Therapy probiotics and enzymes..they list right on the bottles what they are free of which is convenient for me They will help with your problems whether you are celiac or not...my parents and some family members take them, some of which are perfectly fine and others who have had problems...everyone loves them. Good luck
  2. You went without gluten before testing? Going on gluten 3 days before testing is not enough. That alone can cause tests to come back negative. What tests for celiac did they do? There are some that are more specific than others. Weight gain can come with celiac as well and so can anemia which you are describing. There are over 200 symptoms with celiac...
  3. Death? Since when does celiac cause an immediate death? Could he be allergic to gluten and a celiac maybe?
  4. I am not sure if some doctors opt not to do that for celiac but it sounds like you found a good doctor who is being very thorough. My GI doctor ordered the 5 tests plus the gene test and at that point I had no clue what I needed to be tested for. Keep us posted
  5. Are you sure that there are no possible ways that you could have been contaminated? Do you use gluten-free shampoos, lotions, cosmetics, etc? If you are still having a problem you may want to make sure your products are gluten-free as well. Also maybe you have another food problem besides gluten. Have you considered getting a York test done? Also...
  6. It is not on my lists of gluten free meds. Just because it is not on there does not mean that it has gluten. The best thing to do is call the manufacturer. Never assume anything with gluten. It's best to check if you do not know.
  7. Only some Neutrogena products are gluten-free. I posted under products a while ago a list of gluten free products by them..take a look at it to make sure
  8. You all rock too!!! Just like to help people makes my day when I can do that

    ARCHIVED Seasonings

From Open Original Shared Link : Spices and Seasonings Pure spices are gluten free. Bottled spices often contain something to keep the spice free flowing. Usually it's silicon dioxide, which is gluten free. If a spice container does not have a list of ingredients on the label, the only thing it contains is the spice indicated. Seasonings have not been...
  12. Artificial colors and flavoring are questionable they may or may not have gluten in them. If you see it on a label of a brand such as Kraft who will not hide anything then it is safe unless the label has wheat, rye, barley, or oats right on it. For brands we are not sure about you have to call and see. Caramel color in the US is made from corn.... From Open...
  13. I'm sure the diet will help a little at least. RA can be linked to celiac disease if the diet is not followed so it does make sense. Yes those are symptoms of celiac...have you had them since you have been eating gluten again? When did you go gluten-free again? You do know to check cosmetics(lipsticks especially)toothpastes and that sort of thing as...

    ARCHIVED Seasonings

Yes some companies use flour to prevent clumping so you should stick with brands like McCormick who will not hide anything otherwise you need to call the manufacturer and see. I have never seen oregano that is a problem I think that is pretty much for ground spices.
  15. I think it is valid ...I was recommended by my doc as I said earlier...alot of people have these testings done. I think some doctors exed it off from day one because of their way of thinking.
  16. 1st-Lesliean-you do not have to have the gene to be celiac. When you are a celiac no matter what gene you have you must follow the diet...no more or less then other celiacs....celiacs just need to follow a gluten-free diet. So if you are celiac you need to be gluten-free for life. 2nd-Barbara-when you have gluten you have a reaction...it does not have...
  17. Coppertone is safe
  18. Mel-everything is good with Nystatin it has been under control for a while but I still need to be on it to completely rid of it. He(my one doc) said just because symptoms disappear doesn't mean that the candida is gone. Good luck with everything and email me to keep me updated
  19. This is an example of the need to follow the diet....other things develop. It can be hard it was hard for me at first but what kept me in line was the threat of having to deal with life threatening illnesses if I don't follow it. If the word cancer and osteoporosis doesn't scare anybody I don't know what will. Also I knew how bad I felt when I did have gluten...
  20. I do not see it on my gluten-free lists that I have. Unless someone else here knows I would call the manufacturer and see to make sure. Some things we think should be gluten free end up with gluten in them so I would make sure.
  21. I'm 17 and my symptoms started with mono at 14. Looking back I'm sure I had it long before even when I was healthy I notice I did have minor symptoms. It's hard to tell when you first have it though. You could have easily found out about it at a certain age but have had it well before your diagnosis.
  22. Yes celiac3270 you have the right to post that. Not everybody agrees on these debates and I for one do agree with you celiac3270. I am not a Catholic but if I was I would not take communion either because I will not take gluten in any amount. Kvogt-celiac3270 was not attacking anyone or trying to be disrespectful in any way...he was voicing his opinion on...
  23. Yes Jello is a brand made by Kraft and there pudding is gluten free, they will not hide anything
  24. I love Kinnikinnick brand of bread. The Doughnuts are good in my opinion...I like the chocolate glazed. I love Foods By George English muffins. They come in plain and cinnamon. I like to toast them and but cream cheese or butter and cinnamon on them and they are delicious. I eat them almost every day. Open Original Shared Link
  25. I personally stay away from it...I don't take risks with that kind of stuff because I know the reaction I get if it does contain it.
