    I've heard that oats are themselves gluten-free but they are contaminated. I for one don't use oats no matter where they come from. Pretty much all oats that have been tested have been highly contaminated with wheat.

    Basically when we cheat we pay the consequences. You have to let the reaction run its course. There are only things we can do to help settle the stomach. Take enzymes during and after meals, take probiotics, liquid vitamins, and teas like tummy mint ,peppermint, and ginger teas work well with soothing the stomach. It's really not worth it all the risks involved...

    You may have celiac. If your IgA levels were elevated that usually has something to do with gluten. It is a pretty specific test. Your body may either not have damage or they could have looked in the wrong spots.     It's said that for a test to come back positive you need to be on gluten. That could very well be enough time that went by without gluten to make it come back negative. Lactose intolerance can come with celiac due to damage to the villi so I would not rule out celiac quite yet if I were you.

    No that is not true...many people with celiac have constipation. I didn't get diarrhea with it I got constipation not too bad but just a little.     It depends what all they tested for. There are certain tests that are more specific for celiac then others. The IgA is more specific then the IgG.     The Anti-Gliadin Antibodies are IGA and IGG. That is what they were referring to. Did they say if both or one was positive? With both of those positive there is 95-98% chance you have celiac are stats I have heard of people with both positive. Which other tests did they test for? If they both tested positive I would go on a gluten-free diet.

    For people who do not respond or respond very little there is IV therapy. I highly recommend this it give nutrients directly to your bloodstream to make sure you are getting what you need.
