  1. Ruth UK-You may want to look into DH. If you have DH it is caused by a gluten intolerance and is correlated with celiac disease. DH(Dermatitis Herpetiformis) is where you get itchy or severe blistery bumps on your skin. They can occur pretty much anywhere but commonly on the stomach, butt, knees, elbows, and scalp. Mine come and go. They only come when I have...
  2. I don't get pain but I get nausea whenever I ingest gluten. Maybe you want to check all of your products to make sure they are all gluten-free. Like your shampoos, cosmetics, and lotions. The longer you are on the gluten-free diet the more likely you are to have symptoms when you have gluten. At first when I was diagnosed I was fine and didn't react to when...
  3. Nevermind...I found out it is in fact gluten free from the manufacturer

  5. My doctor told me today that I have candida and he gave me Nystatin for it. However , I need to find out first if it is gluten free and it's not on my gluten-free list I have. Does anybody on here know if it is? Thanks
  6. Yeah I don't see it on my gluten-free list either so you definately need to make sure it is gluten free. That could be causing problems.
  7. I got better in about 3 months. I still experienced some symptoms but in 3 months I was feeling a lot better. Of course even now whenever I accidentally have gluten I feel bad for about 2 weeks. It took me longer then that to really get back to 100% though. That was a long process.
  8. Yes a biopsy can miss the diagnosis altogether. I know a lot of people who have had positive blood results but negative biopsies because of lack of damage or looking in the wrong areas. I agree with celiac3270, if you have blood test and Enterolab results that are positive then I would not worry if the biopsy was negative.
  9. This is a link to Dannons ingredients page on their website Open Original Shared Link It says that they do not add gluten but they can not be considered gluten free because they do not test. Horizon is gluten-free.
  10. Well for some people with celiac it takes a while to feel better. At first I thought I was doing good but I had stuff I didn't know slipping in. It took me 3 months to really feel a difference. For someone else I know it took her about a year. It varies so hang in there you will feel better. As long as you are on gluten though you probably won't be feeling...
  11. I think they are good to have done however they are not widely accepted by the medical community yet.
  12. I drink silk alot to. There was a post with the gluten free products list from them in a previous post under this subject. As far as I know the kind they make for starbucks is gluten free. I have a recent list from them that has that on it so as far as I know it is in fact gluten free.
  13. On the home page of this site there is a list of recommended doctors for celiacs. That might help you find one if you have not looked there already.
  14. Yes the bars by envirokidz are good. I love the berry bars and my mom loves the peanut butter. very good thing to try...I didn't know natures path made that brand...I keep learning new things all the time
  15. Betty Crocker ones manufactured by General Mills are gluten free.
  16. Yes you can take probiotics with antibiotics. The antibiotics kill all bacteria even the good bacteria and the probiotics give you good bacteria back. Even when I have been on antibiotics or other medications I always take my probiotics and they have never seemed to interfere.
  17. I don't take any medications but I looked Singular up and saw it on the gluten free list. Could you possibly have another intolerance with something else that could be in it? You may want to double check with the company to see if the status of it changed.
  18. Yes you can get contaminated from kissing so he should make sure he brushes really good before kissing you if he has something containing gluten. McDonalds can't guarantee there stuff to be gluten free. No restaurants really can. So you have to be careful. I take enzymes, probiotics, liquid vitamins, b complex, and a sublingual b12 vitamin. I also...
  19. Yes maybe you are getting gluten into your diet and don't know it. Even things like shampoo, lotions, cosmetics etc can cause reactions. I had some lip balm that had vitamin e derived from wheat that was causing a reaction. There are so many things to look into to make sure you are not getting any gluten into you. As Jessica suggested maybe you should write...
  20. There are many symptoms that can come with celiac but you may also have none at all. There does not have to be symptoms for you to have celiac. If you are a celiac, symptoms or not, your intestines are being damaged. It took me about 3 months to finally see a significant difference.I had no symptoms growing up until I had mono which triggered it. Otherwise...
  21. Terry-anytime you have any questions feel free to ask The whole General Mills line will not hide any gluten in their products.
  22. Progresso soups will not hide any gluten in their products.
  23. They are different when they are by themselves. I don't know if I'm used to it but when I make rice krispy treats they taste pretty normal. My relatives who are not celiac have these rice krispies too and don't even know the difference. Envirokidz has a lot of gluten free cereals that are good...haven't tried natures path but they sound like something that...
  24. I take digestive enzymes and acidophelus(probiotics) both by enzymatic therapy. All of their supplements list what they are free of which makes things easier but there are alot of other good brands out there as well.
  25. That's very true the slightest bit can cause a lot of damage. It should be gluten free or not gluten free. Unfortunately these companies really don't help us out because they can say products are gluten-free with traces in it. I do think with any company that makes anything with gluten has a big chances of cross contamination(some companies more than others...
