  1. Thank you for that encouragement. You are very sweet. Hope you find some answers out soon and can get on the road to feeling better
  2. If you go to the health food store you will find a selection of them. There are a whole bunch of liquid ones that should be available as well. Alot of them will say what they are free of.
  3. Yes, the skincare line is NOT gluten free...only the cosmetic line
  4. Well with celiac if you do not follow the diet then your chance for cancer goes up 40-100 times and you put yourself at high risk for other life threatening and disabling things. It can effect any part of the body. Also, it takes an average of 10 years off your life if not treated. In rare cases but have been seen, the damage is so bad at the time a person...
  5. ConAgra foods will list the top 8 allergens in which wheat is included. From the looks of their policy on MFS I say you are safe I don't like them saying that they don't have a source that lists the gluten content content of their products...if they don't know what's in it how do they expect us to eat it? I haven't had a problem with ConAgra...
  6. You are most definitely NOT being paranoid. You definitely sound like celiac is a definite possibility. If you have celiac the reason why levels are getting lower is because the pills are probably going right through you and not absorbing properly. Have you had vitamin and mineral levels checked?
  7. Well when I was pre gluten-free I was taking a chewable multi and my levels were all messed up. I believe all except my B12 was deficient and the B12 wasn't only because I take B12 sublingualy. Around the time I went gluten-free I was recommended to try the liquid ones because I was told the absorption is more effecient. The next time, a few months later...
  8. If you are celiac and thyroid meds are not gluten free then that can affect it. You may have on and off symptoms with celiac...some people never get symptoms and symptoms vary so much from person to person. Even though symptoms may come and go the damage will still be done when gluten is consumed so you will not have on and off again celiac. Celiac will...
  9. Vitamins are essential for life. One thing overlooked alot is also the need for minerals so don't forget those as well. I like liquid vitamins because the absorption is supposed to be more effecient. I would think it would definitely give your immune system a boost. When your body has optimal levels of nutrients then it operates better...with the nutrition...
  10. I use Enzymatic Therapy ones and they are gluten free-say it right on the bottle and taste pretty good too(not to mention very small)
  11. You definitely need to speak up about this. You will not be able to get better and get the weight back on as long as the gluten is getting into your diet. Your dad needs to realize the seriousness of this diet...maybe if he reads up on some of the things that happens when the diet is ignored would maybe help him realize it. If he won't help you though...
  12. It should be ok to take with it but make sure it is gluten free. Make sure the vitamins and sublingual B12 are gluten free as well because some are not ok.
  13. The mascara by them that I use they told me was gluten free..I use alot of their products and they verified by phone and by email that they were all gluten free(not skincare line though) That is unless they came out with something new that isn't or changed ingredients or policy in the last month or so...let us know if you find out anything different though...
  14. Their whole line of cosmetics is gluten free I love the brand. Their skincare line is different and I know some of the things in their skincare line are not gluten free. I have directly called and verified with them pretty recently before I put in an order for some products.
  15. The tTG is a very accurate test. What were your other levels of the other tests or don't you know yet?
  16. Well if your symptoms have started and you have a main gene for it I would think you could possibly have it in beginning stages and just not levels they can detect quite yet.
  17. Were you on gluten while testing? If you were not on gluten for at least 3 months before testing eating equal to a few pieces of bread a day then the results are not accurate. If you were on gluten then it looks to me like you do not have celiac but you are predisposed to it because you have a main gene but if you were gluten free the tests are worthless...
  18. With what you wrote the ingredients contain whole grain oats which should cross it out right there for gluten because most of the time they are contaminated with wheat. Maybe where you are located they have different ingredients though because all the ones I have seen say wheat starch in it. I would definitely stay away from them though even with the ingredients...
  19. Yep-I am pretty much backing up what was said in the previous posts. Some people get symptoms and some don't. You can't tell if it's celiac by symptoms. With or without symptoms, with celiac, you will still get the damage.
  20. Make sure you guys are getting your vitamins and minerals. Liquid ones may help more effeciently because of the way they are absorbed. In addition to that you also may want to take a sublingual B12 vitamin which helps alot with that. They even taste good
  21. That is NOT gluten free. General Mills won't hide any gluten but I believe that label says wheat right in it. I looked the ingredients up and it had wheat and oats in the label. Envirokidz has some gluten free cereals....the ones that are gluten free say it on the front of the box. Also, Cocoa and Fruity Pebbles by Post are I believe some of the only...
  22. Your tTG is elevated, your EMA was positive, your IgG was positive, your IgA was negative and your reticuln was negative. Looking at the tests I would say you have celiac. The tTG and EMA are the 2 best and most accurate tests for celiac.
  23. Welcome to the board I am sure you will find the people here to be supportive and knowledgable. Feel free to contact me if you ever need anything. Do you see Dr. Fassano at the University of MD? I live in MD...from your post I assume you do but I am not sure because so many people travel just to go there.
  24. That is wonderful to hear, Rachel I am glad to hear everything is going well for you this week.
