  1. Quaker has high levels of contamination of wheat so I would stay away from them.
  2. Some people react to even pure oats so there is no guarantee you will be ok with it. Another thing to take into consideration is that the brands available in the US are all contaminated with high levels of wheat. If you must have oats you need to go with a brand that is grown, transported, and in a facility alone without wheat.
  3. Anyone have their shopping done yet? I am almost done but am kinda stumped on ideas for my mom and dad...they say they don't want anything and well they are the only 2 left to shop for. Any ideas?
  4. Good luck!
  5. Mine was activated due to mono but many things can trigger it to activate. Likely, you have the gene for it and something activated that gene and that's why you have it now.
  6. Yes, never assume anything is gluten free without reading the label
  7. Fruit by the foot is made by Betty Crocker and they are a part of General Mills and will not hide anything so unless the label says wheat, rye, barley, or oats they are ok. Also, oatmeal made in the US in a no no because they are highly contaminated with wheat...if you do oatmeal( I stay away from it) then you need to go with a bran that is grown, transported...

  11. if it says starch you have to check...it may not be wheat
  12. Sorry you had a bad day...hope you have a better one tomorrow:)

    ARCHIVED Wendy's

  14. You know I really do feel for you because I was in that exact same situation. Anytime I ate I felt bad but anytime I didn't eat I felt bad. Sometimes at first people have a problem with dairy so that may be an issue as well. Most people with celiac have a problem with another food too at the time of diagnosis.
  15. I would personally not use products with oats in it but I do however use alot of the bare essentials. Alot of their products are gluten free..including MOST of their lipsticks. I don't use the product with oats in it though
  16. I have glutino crackers but they do need something to go with it because it is not salty. I haven't really found anything just like a ritz or saltine but there are gluten free ones that are pretty decent.

  18. I am also ultra sensitive and have had no problems with it. I was told that their bottled ones are all gluten free:)
  19. They can come and go at any point in life. I didn't have symptoms for years and it was doing damage to me. Some people never get symptoms while others are ultra sensitive.
  20. Soybean oil is ok from a gluten perspective
  21. Yea...I like the flavors pretty well....I would recommend them
  22. I use Swiss Miss with no problems.
