  1. I'm a college student to but I do not live on campus. Once you get used to it , it will be very easy. It takes some adjusting but you can have alot that many people can have. There are great substitutes that are becoming more readily available. You have to find the right brands but we can help you here. You can message me and I will be glad to give you some...
  2. Many of the name brand sodas are gluten free. I would watch maybe for the off brands unless you call the companies but I have found many sodas and juice drinks to be gluten free
  3. As stated, malt is typically from barley but there is a gluten free version of rice krispies but kelloggs is not safe.
  4. Sounds like life is a bit crazy for you!! I hope it slows down sometime soon. I think I have your e-mail.....I think haha and used to have your sn....hummm wonder what happened to that! ha

    ARCHIVED Nausea?

You can't expect changes overnight...it takes time to get the damage and it takes time to heal. It took me like 8 months to really feel better but people vary depending how much damage there is to heal. Nausea was my main symptom so if you want you can PM me and I can give you the names of some of the things I used for nausea.
  8. MSG is gluten free but it is really bad for you
  9. Most of Wrigleys is fine
  10. They are ok:)
  11. Pillsbury is the way to go
  12. OreIda has good ones that are gluten free so good luck....Alexia has some too
  13. Well Cocoa and Fruity Pebbles are both gluten free...if its the same brand (General Mills) they will list wheat, rye, barley, or oats if it has any so just look.
  14. I also have never had a problem with anything of Jello. They have proven pretty good with celiacs. Could be another intolerace.
  15. I eat soy and have not had a problem with it. I would not go in excess because it can cause low thyroid but other than that I find no problem with it.
  16. yep, gluten free...yum!
  17. I have celiac and a wheat allergy and believe me they are different. You need to get actual celiac testing because allergy testing can't detect celiac. I would get tested with the history of your family.
  18. I tried that kind to and I love it!
  19. Most is from barley so don't eat it unless you call to make sure
  20. yeah it's good to see someone with celiac on tv and I think he should talk about it more.
  21. HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 are the 2 most common celiac genes but a small percentage have a different gene. I have the DQ2 gene. I had mine done through Prometheus which is one of the best celiac testing companies in the US. However, we ended up paying an arm and a leg because the insurance would not cover it all and I had alot of tests done.
  22. Yes, I haven't had any since they changed it but at one point it had been gluten free and I still reacted
  23. Symptoms may come and go but celiac will not come and go. Some people just never get symptoms with celiac. A full celiac panel should be run because all of those tests together are pretty accurate. If he has the celiac gene and is IgA deficient, from what you have described, it sounds like he has it. I am not a fan of biopsies because they can rule celiac...
  24. umm why is their inbox full..do they not look at it often? I wish I could help..you have a phone number?
