  1. The only juice of theirs that is gluten free is the Pure Premium with no additives.
  2. Yea, they are very easy to get into your mouth. You have to really look at every possible avenue for it to get into your mouth. With things like lipstick though..that is really a must because that is right on your lips. Even with things like soap..say you was your hands with gluten containing soap, then prepare your food. Well now your food is contaminated...
  3. Starbucks Movies TCBY for ice cream Mini Golf Parks Mall Sports(competing against each other...tennis, basketball, etc) Go Karts Arcade There are tons of things to to besides go out to eat. I actually preferred stuff like going to Starbucks over eating out on dates before I had celiac.
  4. They do not do that with all the products. Maybe they will start to..that would be really good but we just got hormel chili and it did not say gluten free on it.
  5. Yea, stupid me for not thinking about that in the first place. They are one of those great brands so they won't hide anything... so its fine enjoy
  6. Rachel~ Let us know how the results come out. I think with the Enterolab's gene tests they also test for gluten intolerance genes(not just celiac ones). Somebody can correct me if I am wrong but that is my understanding.
  7. No, you can't outgrow it. There may be times when you have symptoms and then they go away but that does not mean you do not have it. Even though it may seem to go in remission it really is not. Remember biopsies are tricky because even if there is damage they can miss it if it is sporadic. And also, if she was gluten free before the biopsy then it would...
  8. If you are in question though on the hormel website you can see a list of their gluten free products. I looked at it says Corned Beef but nothing about hashed. However, a brand made by Hormel called Mary's Kitchen has hashed corned beef that is gluten free. Sorry I can't help you more. I am sure someone else can help you better. I have never had...
  9. Nikki- the Enterolab is a stool test that tests for gluten sensitivity, malabsorption, tTG,gene test(you can order through them but it is not a stool test) etc. I think it is a good test..some doctors accept the test and some do not yet. Rachel-Being gluten free for 3 months a biopsy would not be accurate at all. Most experts and doctors say you should...
  10. Neutrogena has a gluten free list and they have facial cleansers. If you would like I can post it here or email it to you All Clearasil products are gluten free Continuous Color lipstick by CoverGirl is gluten free Certain eye shadows by Maybelline are gluten free(you have to check with each individual one)
  11. I think they would have separate ingredients but I am not sure because I do not use it. I use Velveeta cheese which I love and know is gluten free.
  12. The whole house here is gluten free and it does make it alot easier but I realize this is not reasonable for everyone. If you are comfortable with being gluten free too, at least at the house, then by all means go ahead and try it with him but as long as your supportive and helpful then I think even if you do not follow it things will be fine.
  13. You are probably getting a little bit into your mouth. Shampoos and that sort of thing can easily get into your mouth. I wouldn't think that the hair loss would come from that coming in contact with your scalp because gluten is not absorbed through the skin.
  14. Any avenue of getting gluten into your mouth needs to be crossed off. It's easy to get these products into your mouth. It is not a level of sensitivity, celiac is an all or nothing thing and even the smallest bit of gluten can cause damage. I was using lip balm a while back that turned out to have vitamin e derived from wheat and I was extremely sick from...
  15. Yes, you need to avoid all of gluten in any amounts. Even products like shampoos, soaps, and any other products that have any way of getting into his mouth need to be checked. Following the diet is a all or nothing thing. If he is on a little bit its just like not following the diet because any amount will do damage. Don't throw the stuff with vinegar out...
  16. Yes, you have to be on gluten for about 3 months prior to all blood tests and biopsies.
  17. Of course it could come back false. The problem with biopsies are they can rule celiac in with a positive one but they can't rule it out with a negative one. If it is negative then there could be sporadic damage that they missed or no damage yet if it's in beginning stages. Which blood tests did he have done? Also, his body will know more then any test...
  18. Kraft is a brand that will not hide anything so just check the label and if it doesn't have wheat, rye, barley, oats right on the label then it is safe. I have not used it or read it so I can't tell you for sure but I believe people on here use it and it is gluten free but just check.
  19. Welcome I hope you get the answers you are looking for. Let us know how the results come back.
  20. Your tests done for celiac were the IgA and IgG. Those detect sensitivity to gluten so obviously there is a problem there. Your other levels do fit the category for malabsorption which is in response to celiac because you are not absorbing properly. You do sound like a celiac. If you wanted further testing then I would recommend the full celiac panel being...
  21. Nope not at all. Gluten is also found in rye, barley, and oats. So wheat free does NOT mean gluten free.
  22. I try to avoid the food situations and do something else.
  23. You do have to ingest it but things like shampoos can easily get to your mouth. Think about soaps too...wash your hands with soap containing gluten and then touch food? Then that means your food is contaminated and you could be getting traces into your mouth. You have to look at every possible angle. Alot of nail polishes, lotions, shampoos, etc have gluten...
  24. DH causes skin reactions to gluten as well and I would think being around gluten all day that it may have something to do with your reaction. Are all of your products like shampoos and soaps gluten free? That may be causing a problem if you haven't changed that.
  25. QVC is a tv network that has jewelry, makeup, and other things they sell. Here is a link to their online site Open Original Shared Link The brand is Bare Escentuals. We usually call it in instead if ordering it online. Another way is through ebay. They sell some brand new unopened kits on there pretty cheap as well.
