  1. From the updated Delphi list: Vick's (P&G) (800.362.1683) (ve=11/20/02) Per email from Company...there is no gluten in any Vick
  2. Many doctors are not very up on celiac let alone the things that can relate to celiac. You could supply that doctor with information about the relation between these problems or you could find a doctor who knows alot about celiac and could fit your needs better. On the home page of this site if you scroll down there is a link to recommended doctors and...

    ARCHIVED Sleep

Thats a reaction you are getting. I get other symptoms but what you have sounds like a normal reaction to me.

    ARCHIVED Starbucks

I have had no problem with contamination. When we go I always tell them I have a severe allergy(that just gets their attention and works..better then explaining celiac and all) then they use a clean everything and are extremely careful. I love their drinks!
  5. I wish I could have been on earlier but I was gone in VA today for a 6 and a half mile hike at some battlefield...so now I'm playing catch up If you were gluten free for a month and a half and then only got back on for 23 days that could have set your numbers back to normal. The fast would not have affected the numbers....the gluten would still...
  6. There are some brands like Kraft who will not hide anything but they do not list gluten free on the label. They will however list wheat, rye, barley, oats right on the label if they contain any. For other brands who do not have that policy and don't list gluten free on them the best thing is too call the company. I eat alot of products that don't say...
  7. Yes a multi vitamin is a very good thing to be on...along with other supplements to. I like liquid vitamins because of the way they are absorbed. I take Liquid Vitamins Plus (ultra absorbable) by Utrition. Some people on here really like Centrum.

    ARCHIVED Starbucks

All of Starbucks drinks are gluten free except one kind of frappucino. The toppings they put on the drinks are gluten free
  9. Take a look at the alcoholic drinks we can have: https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-14105417317.dd
  10. Yeah I have noticed alot of regular supermarkets are starting to carry more gluten free products. There are like 4 supermarkets within a mile from my house and then for health food stores there are alot but they are alot further out so it's nice to see these places get gluten free products and a health food section around close
  11. This email might help you out with some makeup ingredients. You may want to do a search on FDA regulations for gluten ingredients to look for. I would just ask on here I am sure someone will no and if not you could always call. We are attaching a list of grain-derived ingredients, found on our labels, which will be helpful in providing you direction...
  12. Anemia is associated with celiac. Celiac disease is often misdiagnosed and they usually will diagnose you with UC, IBS, etc. There are some celiacs however with UC as well. Symptoms with celiac can vary from person to person. There are over 200 symptoms associated with celiac so it is very broad range. The symptoms you are naming are some of which can be...
  13. Yes, all blood relatives should be tested because this is genetic. Many people don't have symptoms but should still be tested. I heard if a child is less than 24 months the test can be inaccurate. The doctor you are seeing now that says only if you have symptoms should be tested...well thats bogus...these kind of doctors can miss a diagnosis because of...
  14. The ingredients look fine to me. Here is a link to some forbidden ingredients which may help out. https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-17105383192.1a Whenever you are in question just ask here...we don't mind, I am sure someone will know here....if not then just call about it.
  15. Do you have a Safeway near you? The one I have about a mile from my house is filled with gluten free products and a nice health section. Of course they are all different
  16. He needs to be on gluten for a good 3 months before getting tested...2 weeks is not long enough...what the other doctor said is just bogus and he needs a celiac lesson. Since he is gluten free it would show up negative if he had a blood test for antibodies now.
  17. I'm also in Maryland Yes, each Giant is different..some do have gluten free foods and some don't know what the heck I am talking about. If you get a request form they will get something in for you and maybe if they get enough of them they will get the hint to stock up on more gluten free foods.
  18. Bean- A biopsy just shows how much damage there is to the intestines(if any) I would not think you would need a biopsy unless your doctor just wants to do one to see how much damage you have. I did not get a biopsy after positive bloodwork because the doctor felt I didn't need one. Allergy testing is completely different and will not pick up on celiac...
  19. One gluten mistake can send you right in a tailspin. I get sick for about 2 weeks and it's torture. I have noticed it really just sets your body back...your body has to fight this. For some people it can take numerous weeks to get back on track after a "gluten poisoning". Feel better soon
  20. I personally like liquid vitamins the best because of the way it absorbs into your body. I take Liquid Vitamins Plus by Utrition and it says ultra absorbable on it. On top of this I also take a sublingual B-12 vitamin by enzymatic therapy. I also occasionally take a B complex by enzymatic therapy too. Hope this helps a bit. I have heard people on here...
  21. I am not anemic but boy was I ever tired. My trigger for celiac was mono. So when I had mono is where the fatigue started. I would sleep for 12 hours at night and still want to sleep. I would like to take naps in the day and that just wasn't me. Fatigue is actually a very common symptom of celiac. My energy level has definitely picked up after getting on...
  22. Aww it sounds like your going through a hard time. But if he thinks it's too stressful to have a celiac girlfriend then does he think its a piece of cake for you to deal with his paralysis? You can't help you have celiac and he can't help he has that...its the same concept ..just you accepted him but he didn't accept you. One year is a long time to go...
  23. Before I went gluten free I was in there 4 or 5 times for IV's and they would give me a few of them then release me. I felt so much better after getting pumped with IV's...of course at this point I was undiagnosed and had no clue what was wrong. After I went gluten free I haven't had to go back there. There have been times when I have been glutened and almost...
  24. Whenever there is alcohol and flavor you should check. Whenever you don't know about all of the ingredients you shoud check just to make sure so you are not overlooking anything. Here are the gluten-free Blistex products that Kristina(MySuicidalTurtle) posted a while ago after contacting them: Blistex Lip Ointment Blistex Lip Balm (Regular, Berry,...
  25. Yea..doctors had to have diagnosed you somehow...they just don't go around handing out a celiac diagnosis. I am against is as I previously stated. You really need to follow the diet ...as I understand you saying you are not...you need to be. Celiacs can have very serious life threatening complications if you do not follow it.
