  3. Well when I have alot of caffeine or chocolate my heart races but other then that no....your palpitations could be cause by food. Before going gluten free whenever I had bread or something I would start to feel short of breath...gluten can cause the problems you are having and so can other foods your body does not tolerate.
  4. Have you had your thyroid checked? That was one of my symptoms and I have graves(hyperthyroid) My dad also gets that if he gets too low on blood sugar.
  5. If you have been gluten-free for 6 months prior to testing that will not give accurate results. Therefore you can not determine that you do not have it now. You very well could. If your doctor said she thinks 6 months ago they would have been above normal why didn't she test you then? Yes you can still get damage even if it showed you don't have any YET....
  6. Yep then it would be gluten free...they have a policy like Kraft and some other brands which is very helpful. Twizzlers are also made by hershey so just check labels there.I don't eat them..I have heard they are not but hershey's will not hide anything so just check. 10. Some tests for celiac are very specfic and have a very low false positive rate. I was diagnosed only through blood tests. The gene test is a good thing to have done. An Enterolab may be something to consider. They do testing through stool samples and test for genes, malabsorption, gluten sensitivity, tTG, and so forth. It is not widely accepted by the medical...
  11. I was diagnosed in January of 2004 but I was sick 2 years prior to that. I have been gluten free about 16 months
  12. I usually eat before I go and being something to snack on in my pocketbook. Everytime before we go I always make sure they know about the celiac because of preparation of food and so forth. Sometimes my dad doesn't feel comfortable telling people...sometimes I think he is embarrassed by the inconvenience or something but they have to know about it in my opinion...
  13. Yep caffeine free coca cola is gluten-free. Stick with the name brand though...if you get off brands like store brands they may not be gluten free.
  14. Looks like a bunch of jibberish to me I speak english fluently so if anyone needs help there i'm your gurl haha
  15. Yes people with celiac tend to have weaker immune systems...tend to catch more things and keep them longer...thats why vitamins and supplements are essential for us.

  17. I don't know I haven't emailed her...I'm contacting Hershey directly for it....Talk to ryebaby0...she sent me the email with the email address and knows more about it then I do.
  18. Have you had your thyroid checked? Cold hands and feet are symptoms of hypothyroid. Thyroid disorders are very common among celiacs.
  19. Hmm thanks for that idea...my mom gets agave I think I will try that. I probably have more sugar than I think too so the more I can sub out the better. We have tried a few brands of stevia and some brands are better then others in my opinion. I am with you on eating the whole foods...we...
  24. I also have had no problems with canola oil but I usually stick with olive oil.
  25. Yes I do think excess sugar is bad and sugar does cause problems. Is it the main cause...no but it does contribute alot. what do you call excess sugar? I call the regular american diet excessive sugar. The point is though just about everything we eat though has sugar and the amount sugar people are getting today in food is pretty much excessive..so that...
