  1. yea I realized that after I posted celiac3270...I didn't see your post ahead of time...o well you got to hear it from 2 people lol
  2. Yep all M&M's are gluten free except the crispy
  3. I don't think that is too paranoid. Alot of stickers have gluten in the adhesive. You could take a knife and peel that part of the skin off ...that would work I do think by washing it off after taking the sticker off would probably do the job though so if your doing that I wouldn't worry too much.
  4. You do not have to hav a biopsy to have a diagnosis. I was diagnosed through blood tests alone. There are some specific tests for celiac so if they are high then you have celiac. Some insurance companies will deny coverage due to being diagnosed(they consider it a complication)
  5. I agree, they are both very life changing things to deal with. It shows how much a person cares about you when your going through a hard time. Your boyfriend seems very unsupportive. You are really not over obsessing. As said in a previous post...it is a wheat world out there..we literally have to think about every bite we take...this can be very serious...
  6. You have to be on gluten for any testing(blood tests and biopsies) She should be tested for the following: -Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA -Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG -Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA -Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA -Total Serum IgA She should get a gene test too...but keep her on gluten throughout the testing
  7. Well if you want another test done he needs to stay on gluten until after all testing. I would find a doctor who can get him in quick. Also I found how I can get appointments quicker is if my dad calls. My mom called and they could get me in a month later...my dad called and they got me in the next day. Was he gluten free when he got blood tests? He...
  8. DH is a skin intolerance to gluten. Some celiacs do have this and there is a section on here about that. This means she needs to avoid touching anything with gluten as well. When you have DH you have celiac. Not all celiacs have this...this means soaps, shampoos, lotions, cosmetics, etc need to be gluten free. I use gluten free products anyway to ensure...
  9. Yea the chicken itself is but the way it is prepared makes it not gluten-free. Jessicas suggestion would work...you just can't have the normal chicken one they prepare because of how they prepare it
  10. Here is the link to their website with food sensitivity menus. Open Original Shared Link All of their chicken salads are NOT gluten free..even the grilled. The only salads that are gluten free are the casear salad without chicken and the side salad. I have not had trouble with those 2 salads...I tried a grilled one last year because I thought it was...
  11. Yea it's a good list only not updated and things outdate pretty quickly as you know. The delphi forums list just came out and it 79 pages long...they update that one I believe too.
  12. Some of the Mission tortillas are gluten free. They had gluten free written write on it too which I thought was helpful and a big step because they sell these at regular supermarkets here.
  13. Also check out No Miss products...their products are gluten free according to the company. They are a cheaper. Well the problem with nail polish is you prepare food with your hands...if any of it chips in your food or gets on your food while preparing it. I bet people put their hands to their mouth more then they think to ...and if your nails have wheat...
  14. Well oats in the U.S are contaminated with wheat so they aren't safe. It has been shown some celiacs can handle oats and some can't. There is a protein called avenin that some react to...just ones in the U.S are contaminated so they aren't safe anyway.
  15. -Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA -Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG -Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA -Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA -Total Serum IgA The above tests are the tests you should have had done. Do you know what you tests you had done? Some celiacs are IgA deficient so that can cause IgA levels to be down when they otherwise should have been positive...
  16. Did you have the symptoms or anything? Why did they suspect celiac? Why did they give you a diagnosis? Being on gluten heavily is equivalent to about 2 pieces of bread a day but if you were on a regular diet before being tested then that would be good enough.
  17. So how did they diagnose you? Did your blood tests ever come back positive. You have to stay on gluten heavily for at least 3 months before blood tests or biopsies.
  18. Personally, I am against it. You were diagnosed...you have it...thats a fact. How were you diagnosed? There are some blood tests that are very specific for celiac and have very little false positive rates. Biopsies only confirm damage done...if a biopsy comes back negative that just means there is not damage done yet...that does not mean you do not have...
  19. I think you need to see another doctor who knows alot about celiac. There are not specific symptoms that you have to have in order to have celiac. Everyone has different symptoms and some people have none at all. I also have a thyroid disorder. These are highly connected with celiac and what you are describing does sound like celiac. You do not have to have...
  20. Yes it's a reasonable request for them to put some effort into this. I went to someone who gave me some homeopathic things..said they were gluten free and before I took them I researched it and it was not gluten free. This type of thing makes me mad as well but people are like that and you still have to double check everything that they give to ensure nothing...
  21. You were gluten free before a biopsy? That will heal the damage. Your first doctor is right, I agree...you would have antibodies only if you have celiac. Your 2nd opinion must have been from one of the many doctors without knowledge of celiac disease. Whether or not you have symptoms now is not an issue...many people do not have symptoms with celiac. ...
  22. Well enzymes, probiotics, and liquid vitamins will help BUT you can't stop a reaction. A reaction has to run its course but you can help your body fight. He has to be very diligent in following the diet and accidents happen but its a problem when they happen frequently.
  23. Michelle- We have all ben through it and we all need people to understand. I really love this site...it is filled with some of the most awesome people. I am happy actually that I have celiac, if I didn't have it I would not have got to know so many wonderful people. If you need to talk or anything feel free to email me.
  24. The ingredients look fine Does it have a manufacturer # on it...you should always call if you are in question to make sure but the ingredients do not have anything questionable in it. Also I responded to your other post about how you have been feeling after 3 days gluten free....don't expect a change so soon...it takes time and some people take...
  25. Here is another nail polish we can have:
