  1. My eldest was far far far more picky when he was eating gluten than now that he is gluten free. I think he just felt so bad all the time (and couldn't vocalise) he still isn't the greatest eater - but 10 times better now that he is gluten free. So your daughter may start eating better once she isn't having gluten anymore. Good luck!
  2. My son never lost any weight with it, he did have gastro troubles though and malabsorption, came back negative on the tests so the Drs were like "its not celiac". Anyhow - fast forward almost 2 years and only when they figured out he hadn't lost any weight but had gained none in 2 years did they decide to do an endo. Your kids have to be checked - even if...
  3. Yeah, it could be something else. Don't forget that we have a higher chance of other autoimmune diseases as well. I have 3 at the moment, so I never lost the fatigue/exhausting at all.
  4. Yeah- but aren't something like 40% of Sjorgen's sufferers sero negative? I read that somewhere - I was negative on my tests but I have so many symptoms - including sicca, and the rheumy said I could still have it. Bloody autoimmune diseases!!
  5. PS - IBS is a blanket diagnosis that they give to people who have certain symptoms when they don't know what is wrong. Its a kind of "I don't know what is going on, so I will call it IBS" diagnosis. I would never ever trust an IBS diagnosis. Also -alot of the time you can't see celiac damage with the naked eye, your Dr doesn't know anything about it I'm afraid...
  6. Isn't there some study that seems to point to the more damage your villi has, the more likely you will come back negative on bloods? I came back negative on bloods, and towards the end of my gluten eating days I was getting intussusception, its where the bowel kind of eats itself, and its a life threatening medical emergency. I have no official diagnosis...
  7. Only about 50% of lupus patients have the malar rash, also, it can look just like a very faint blush across the nose and cheeks - so faint it may not even be noticed. I have some type of connective tissue disease, although I tested negative for lupus, my rheumy says false negatives on lupus are really, really rare, not like celiac bloods in that sense. Alot...
  8. Thanks mushy!!
  9. I want to show it to my Doctor!
  10. Have you thought of soap nuts diandliam? I am just about to put an order in myself. No chemicals, completely enviro friendly and cheap too! works out about 12 c a wash. Have a google.
  11. I lost weight without D as well. And like the above posters no one would consider celiac because of it even though my mother was diagnosed And now I don't lost weight anymore - I put it on instead - doh!
  12. No good. I hope you feel better soon. Flu sucks!
  13. The worst hey? I ended up getting so stressed on one I had to leave because it was making me anxious!!! haha~
  14. PS- my liver function tests were always totally whacked before I went gluten-free. And mouth full of ulcers. Severe GERD etc....sounds so similar to me:(
  15. He is a total idiot - get a new Doctor or go gluten-free, heaps of your symptoms are the same as mine, all gone since going gluten-free. I also tested negative on the bloods - and my reaction to eating gluten is life threatening -go figure But at least my doctor says - your bloods were neg but your symptoms are severe and there is no way you aren't celiac...
  16. I think people are people, sometimes people are grumpy, sometimes they take things the wrong way etc. I'm not sure there is a really nice way of saying someone is wrong? Obviously they think they are right. and most people get defensive when they are called into questions I think. I just leave it - even if someone is glaringly wrong about something I'll let...
  17. Give it another couple of days - either way there isn't much you can do - but if you still feel bad in the next few days- like fluey then you probably have your answer ya know?
  18. I was saying a few weeks back that our Paed GI had a patient and he had negative bloods, negative endo and he just got sicker and sicker and eventually they got him to swallow a camera pill and found celiac damage way down where the endo doesn't reach. So yeah - its possible to have negative endo and still be celiac.
  19. It sounds like you have the flu or a virus or something, you tick every box if you know what I mean? Aching, sensitive skin, fever - all at the same time. Its influenza or something or a virus I reckon!
  20. What is C.Diff??
  21. Is it allergies you have or celiac? Or an intolerance?
  22. PS = not saying its not vaccines- at all, but personally I think its our whole western way of life if you know what I mean!
  23. To be honest I'd look far farther afield, pestsides, pollution, GM, the whole shebang, we are eating stuff that isn't natural etc etc. There is so much that could be going on with all this autoimmune stuff!
  24. oh my goodness! THANKYOU Simona! That looks fab!!
  25. I joined still shroomy- the Dr just wrote a cert for severe gluten intolerance.
