  1. Did you read the ingredients? There is no gluten in the main stream brands. Maybe you can't handle the high fructose corn syrup?
  2. Here is some info for you and your doctor - Open Original Shared Link What is dermatitis herpetiformis (DH)? Dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) is an itchy, blistering skin condition that’s a form of celiac disease. The rash usually occurs on the elbows, knees and/or buttocks, and is characterized by its bilateral nature; both knees (...
  3. Gluten doesn't " stay in your system" . Food passes through and out the other side in 24-48 hours, usually. I suppose if you are constipated, it might be another day. What causes reactions are the antibodies our bodies make while the gluten is passing through the small intestine. Those antibodies can last for a while. But one isolated glutening shouldn...
  4. Never had a problem with that brand. are you able to eat other brands of cake, donuts, etc? maybe it's the gums or some other ingredient that is common to them all?
  5. We eat KC Masterpiece with no issues.
  6. The personal info only show to you. Look at other people's profiles and that is what they will see of yours. Edit - just looked at yours and they only personal thing I can see is "female" and "USA". Admin uses this info if there is a question of you being a spammer or a troll. They are usually fake for them.
  7. Read the ingredients! They were fine last time I used them.! But that has been a couple of years. The on line ingredients looked ok. Just make sure that is still the ingredients listed
  8. I just meant - that if you are going to majorly cc your cookies - what difference could it make? If you are able to keep them gluten-free, then just read the ingredients. I have used different brands and never found any with gluten. As for "icing", I would read the ingredients or make my own. But it is hard to get a good red on your own. Can...
  9. I haven't seen gum with gluten but there are some candies and mints that list malt or barley malt as an ingredient. Tic Tacs should be gluten-free.
  10. I have never seen a "sprinkle" with gluten. The amount of gluten you would get from the other people's flour , etc would be much more significant. If that doesn't bother you, why worry about the teeny tiny bit that might, but probably isn't, in a few little sprinkles?
  11. If the ovens burned the gluten crust into ash, then who would buy thier pizzas? So, of course that doesn't make sense. I mean, if gluten was destroyed at 450 or 500 degrees, we could all eat regular pizza!
  12. This is funny. Can't believe a few of these are real! Open Original Shared Link
  13. If you are eating food while "dining out", Maybe you are getting cc'd from the restaurant! That seems the most logical answer.
  14. I like these for quesadillas. I haven't tried them as wraps or tortillas. They have a slight potato taste to them. But they make a nice mild alternative to a flour tortilla.
  15. I would love to see a link to the research on Sjorgren's. I don't think I have seen any articles linking it to food. As far as I have seen, Sjorgen's does not come and go like an allergy might.
  16. For a Celiac, just a supposedly gluten-free crust would not be enough. I would check that they are using separate pans, cutting utensils and clean toppings. When they stretch out a crust and then put thier hands in the cheeses or other toppings, they transfer some flour to the container.
  17. To add to what Barty said - you must be on a regular gluten containing diet to get Celiac blood tests and endoscopic biopsies. See a medical doctor, pediatrician or GI or Family Practice, and do that before you go gluten-free .
  18. No you cannot eating gluten containing stuffing. You can't eat the turkey it was cooked in, either. There is no way to be sure no stuffing gets in or on the turkey. You could make a gluten-free stuffing. And, from a general food safety issue, you shouldn't cook the stuffing in the bird. Open Original Shared Link
  19. I don't speak French, so I am not really sure what you are asking. There is no gluten in the root of a plant. gluten is in the seed of wheat, rye or barley. Dandelions do not contain gluten. If they are inside a food, there could be gluten in another ingredient.
  20. I know there are a few completely gluten-free restaurants and bakeries. You might try googling " gluten free New York". Also, check the website " find me gluten free". You can read reviews and find places that you can investigate further.
  21. This topic is from 2007. I think they were asking for something gluten-free that is similar to ritz crackers. Not sure we can prove that Ritz cause Celiac.
  22. Before you diagnose yourself & prescribe treatment - what did the doctor say? What course of action? I know several people with lupus & they are living normal lives.
  23. You are replying to posts from 2007. Any product info may have changed in 8 years. And these posters probably aren't still around
  24. No. You could have a separate issue with corn.
  25. The rice is sort of mushy. its delicious, that's just how it is supposed to be. It would be good with fruit in it - canned crushed pineapple or raisins and be breakfast.
