  1. Can you dehydrate your own raisins? does anyone make them without the extra sulphites? Open Original Shared Link You might have to order them because you live in the middle of no Whole Foods! Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link
  2. You have a normal serum IGA. That just shows that your other tests will be accurate. I'm sorry... could you post what each test actually says? In one post you say they are negative and another that they are positive. It sounds like you make a normal amount of "IGA" so the IGA tests are accurate. It sounds like you had a positive blood test? And positive...
  3. You could be absorbing the medications better because the part of you that absorbs many medications (the small intestines) is now healed. Open Original Shared Link "Have any studies been done on the absorption or non-absorption of medications in persons with celiac disease? Yes, they have been done in the past. We know that in untreated celiacs...
  4. I don't know the ingredients but "natural flavors " and vinegar do not contain gluten. Because you haven't been tested, maybe it something besides gluten or in addition to gluten? Can you eat the plain tuna by the same company?
  5. I'm not sure what is going on but your first post says your blood tests were normal. Now you say they are positive. Anyway..... It will take a few months, at least to reverse vitamin deficiencies from celiac
  6. I think 1 day is a little soon to worry about other intolerances. It an take months for the intestines to heal and then the deficiencies to get better. Sometimes, when someone goes gluten-free, they eat differently. Maybe more fiber. Maybe less fiber. Maybe more sugar., etc. Read the newbie thread for some basic info & give it some...
  7. I'm not sure what you tests actually had - but a TTg IGA of 100 would be extremely positive in most labs scales. Maybe you could get the actual results with the scale or ranges.
  8. Just my thought but, he probably hasn't been eating gluten very long. It could be dairy, too. Or something else. What does the doctor say? Could it be something else? I would think you would see a bit of improvement in a baby in a couple of weeks gluten-free. But, if its just a virus and its residual problems, it might be better in 2 weeks, too.
  9. Take a deep breath. Maybe one more... There is a lot of nonsense info on the internet, so be careful who is posting it. Eating gluten free does not mean you have to eat gluten-free "replacement" foods. You can still eat a nice healthy diet. Fruit, veggies, meat, rice, quinoa, beans, etc are gluten-free. Just read labels if you are getting something...
  10. Does he have Celiac disease? If not, being gluten-free might not make any difference. If he has Celiac, it can take at least a few weeks to feel noticeably better and even a few years to become completely " normal".
  11. IF you live near Chicago or are willing to go there, they are taking registrations for the free blood screening for Celiac. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link This is the email I received: Free Blood Screening October 17, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There is no charge to be screened, but preregistration is MANDATORY! You...
  12. Your blood test was 3 years ago. It is possible to develop Celiac since then.
  13. There are many pastas that are made in dedicated facilities and tested for gluten. It depends on the company, but many test at less than 10 ppm. You might need to ask them. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Just a couple. As a "super sensitive" you will likely need to remove all gluten from your home. You probably won...
  14. I have always heard that these popcorn "butters" are gluten-free. I don't like them on my popcorn. Can you call or email the company? Maybe a jug at the movie theater has the ingredients on it? I looked and didn't see anything on-line, either
  15. Just an FYI to others who may be reading this - Bleach can't "kill" gluten. In fact, plain dish or hand soap and rubbing does a better job to release dirt like wheat than soaking in bleach.
  16. Nevermind.... I know you just asked "Now, who's right: him or me?" but I didn't think it was as simple as that. To answer that question - I think he is right. You don't have to live in a "clean-room enviroment"
  17. But... you aren't eating his phone..... Just wipe it off before you use it or wash your hands? Same with the outside of the jug. Just wipe it off. The amount of gluten that might have been on the phone and might have gotten on his fingers and maybe landed on the outside of a jug is so small and improbable. If you are going to be this extreme, you...
  18. I eat them often. Sometimes, even when I ate regular pretzels, a few would come out thinner or smaller. Probably a normal issues with the machines.
  19. Please point out where it's says the gluten is in the tea bags? It appears they only tested the tea, not the bags?
  20. I don't see where they even mention the bags being tested?
  21. Have you been to an actual eye MD? Actually, could just be an allergy. My eyes water and hurt during certain seasons.
  22. There is no gluten in pineapple. Sure, you could be allergic or intolerant for some reason. They have a lot acid. Not sure how they are on FODMAPS or histamines, etc.
  23. That doesn't conclude that tea bags are sealed with a wheat paste - which would dissolve in hot water and open the tea bag. Looks like the conclusion was that they might need to study the tests or testing methods. "These results raise questions regarding the screening procedures used to detect gluten and how the observation of a homologous antigenic...
