  1. How can you tell she isn't a diagnosed Celiac? I guess, I just assumed she was? Maybe she said that in another thread? Well... For the Celiacs reading along, don't cheat!
  2. currently available enzymes have no effect on gluten. Hopefully you have learned a lesson? There really is nothing you can do but eat completely gluten free and eventually, you will heal. But if you keep doing this, you will never completely heal and un- treated Celiac leads to lots of problems
  3. I am just going to remind people that saying something is gluten free doesn't mean it is " certified" or even tested. Some companies do their own testing. Some just label things with no gluten ingredients " gluten free". Also, according to a recent study, and it made sense to me, almost no medications use gluten as a binder. I will see if I can find...
  4. It's been over a year, you shouldn't be getting glutened very often or at all. So maybe it is something else?
  5. "Home / FAQs / Is an IgA result of 39, where normal is 81-463, considered deficient and could it invalidate anti-IgA tests? Is an IgA result of 39, where normal is 81-463, considered deficient and could it invalidate anti-IgA tests? Any level of IgA above 20 mg/dl should make the tTG-IgA test valid, regardless of age" Open Original Shared Link Seems...
  6. You should NOT be gluten free before any testing! You must be eating gluten to make antibodies and damage. For a Celiac, going gluten free is what heals the damage and reduces/ eliminates the antibodies.
  7. Open Original Shared Link "Am I still at risk for developing intestinal/stomach cancer even after I’ve been diagnosed with celiac disease and switched to gluten-free diet? The risk for intestinal cancer in celiac patients is elevated, especially in the first year after diagnosis, as a result of the previous time eating gluten. Once on a gluten-free d...
  8. So how long have you been gluten-free? It isn't real common to do a follow- up endoscopy if you aren't having any issues.
  9. Didn't notice that! Lol It's still possible you have Celiac disease, too
  10. That's too bad. They are supposed to test all first degree relatives.
  11. Did you ask him why he is doing all this? This is not the normal follow- up for compliant Celiac patients. Are you having additional problems?
  12. That sounds a bit like a migraine which can be related to Celiac disease. So, your Celiac tests were negative when the kids were diagnosed? Its possible you have developed Celiac since then, however, the only way to know would be to eat gluten for an extended time and get tested.
  13. I think Dh is always blistery and itches. I think the amount of itchiness may just depend on each person's ability to tolerate it. Open Original Shared Link "Dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) is an itchy, blistering skin condition that’s a form of celiac disease. The rash usually occurs on the elbows, knees and/or buttocks, and is characterized b...
  14. Well said, Gemini!
  15. Just want to point out that the original post is from 2009. Its possible ingredients have changed in that time.

  17. Maybe it is? Maybe it is something else. But - if you did not have any symptoms of Celiac, why would they test you? I bet you had some. And I am a bit confused - were you already mostly gluten free when you had the Celiac tests? And in your first post, you listed things you ate - No. those foods - fries, salmon coated with who knows what, etc...
  18. Just curious.....how do you know you are not a Celiac?
  19. I wish you all would stop bringing this thread back up! Every time I see it pop up in my "new Content" I start craving Sea Salt Caramel! And I don't need the calories! But I would eat it otherwise! (I might still get some tomorrow at the grocery)
  20. I don't know. Read the ingredients. Maybe some types will work
  21. I am sorry to hear this. You have always seemed like a very strong person. If anyone can beat this , you will! ( and probably beat the s$!& out of it, too).
