  1. I do find that Wendy's workers seem to understand "allergy to bread". Usually the person at the counter speaks English. Say the allergy really loud and a manager will hear. I get the potato and tell them not to open it. Then I get the little packets of butter and sour cream. Frostys are hard to contaminate
  2. It's the grey/ white beard. It ages you.
  3. I was about to add this very thing. Gee Eff and I were talking about nothing much and then people got serious! My spell check changed Gee Eff to Geezer! Lol
  4. On the top of the forum page- it says stuff like journal of gluten sens, members, my iPad one says more and has a pull down. Pc says chat there
  5. . Just because my banana tests as less than 5 parts per million (because that is the test I bought) that does not mean it has any gluten. 0 is less than 5. Some companies choose a cheaper test that tests for 20 ppm. That does not mean the food has 19 parts per million (which is still an extremely tiny amount). There are explanations about this 2...
  6. I eat products labelled gluten-free and products not labelled gluten-free with no gluten ingredients. There are a few companies that might not be as gluten-free as they say they are, but that is really rare. You can go to websites of Betty Crocker or Pamela's and see that they have procedures in place before they call something gluten-free. Pet food...
  7. I am laughing so hard right now! Open Original Shared Link
  8. I got mine from Crockpot's website. I had gotten a new lid from them and got on thier email list and saw that. I saw it advertised in a Target ad a week ago. I think its new, so it will probably start showing up in stores. Let me check my email and get the website & I'll add it. I filled it about 2/3 full today with a dense rice & bean thing...
  9. Many of us use them with no issue. There are many references to them on this forum using the google search. They say they run only corn on corn machines. That is like many certified gluten-free products and many other foods. They say nothing about " going through the FDA process" to be gluten-free. There is no FDA process and they acknowledge that...
  10. Mine will go out tomorrow. Probably.....maybe.....
  11. Nothing the FDA can do about it, there are no laws for gluten free. They can't enforce a law that isn't there.
  12. Now I re- read, I think I misunderstood. The choc pie is gluten-free and you want something else! What about fudge? Peanut brittle? Choc truffles rolled in the little red & green jimmys are fun. Candy is a good make ahead. Meringue cookies with peppermint pieces in them. You can dye them green with food coloring. Red usually looks pink but you...

    ARCHIVED Eggs?

It's possible to be intolerant to eggs no matter what they eat. Your link is just to someone asking a questions and another person answering. Is not scientific or medical.
  14. Why not make the chocolate pie gluten-free? The pudding type filling usually is, just make a gluten-free crust with gluten-free chocolate wafers. Like these: Open Original Shared Link That way everyone has the same thing. Or make her her own in a fancy bowl with some of the cookies just crumbles on the bottom and top?
  15. I hadn't thought of that! I know it's not hot enough to melt glass!
  16. Yes. PF Chang's has the best corporate policy for gluten-free. A little secret- most things can be made gluten-free. They just put some on the menu at a time. Ask and see if there is something else you would like. Obviously, a wheat thing like a dumpling can't be made gluten-free. Pei Wei is the fast food version of PF Chang's. they have a more limited...
  17. You can ask for fresh gloves, etc. Around here, most of the fast food workers don't speak enough English to get them to understand.
  18. Have you had any Celiac blood tests? They are doing so much else, you would think that would be easy enough do do!
  19. This link didn't work for me.
  20. I made a coffee cake like this with apples. Delicious. You need some cinnamon in the cake. http://www.glutenfreely.com/recipes/printrecipe.aspx?id=0e7a1e2b-ee7c-4db6-b61f-371b0fc5b7b1&cat=desserts Streusel: I think I used either Pamela's or rice flour http://culinaryarts.about.com/od/muffinsquickbreads/r/cinnamnstreusel.htm?p=1 Melt...
  21. If by cp you mean Celiac blood tests, no, it doesn't show intolerance. It measures if you are making antibodies. Intolerance means you don't make antibodies but have problems when you eat gluten. The only way to know about intolerance is, once you have had all the Celiac testing, stop eating the food you think you are intolerant to. See if it helps. ...
