  1. Quiet around here! Think I'll take a nap.
  2. Some days we should stay in bed!
  3. PF Changs does a great gluten-free menu and they seem to understand what that means. Some places have gluten-free menus but cook the gluten-free pasta or veggies in the regular pasta water. Or will give you a plain burger but won't use a clean place on the grill. Some have a gluten-free menu but it is plain chicken and plain veggie (boring). You will...
  4. Will you run some for me,too?
  5. Maybe, by helping you sis, you will help yourself. Having someone who is supporting you will help. Get some fun stuff that is gluten-free like Skittles and Starbursts and Tootsie Rolls. Pop a Starburst in when you are tempted to eat something wrong. Don't hang out in the kitchen close to the food (this is a problem of mine). Do you have a dog or...
  6. Bummer! Well, there' s still twigs, dirt and worms!
  7. Might need a pic of her in her hockey gear to get him interested. How did you get my pic up? It told me couldn't put pics up with that name or type or sumpin.
  8. Hi Bev! Thanks! I'm trying to fix him up. Carla B also has a cute 17 yr old daughter.
  9. Open Original Shared Link My Av is him in his Halloween costume. I have some on facebook but not sure how to get them on here. Trying to get the link for his tv interview to work. Its up at the top. She can see him in living color (green). Open Original Shared Link Won't let me post the pic. This is his football pic. They decided...
  10. I usually use half water half vinegar in a little spray bottle. Spray all over my Kitchenaid mixer and in the little cracks after it used for wheat cookies. Also good for slow drains and toliets. Boil water and pour down drain. Pour full strength and let sit. Pour more boiling water.
  11. She sounds perfect for J. He would think the hockey thing was cool. Long-distance, they couldn't get into too much trouble. Can you image, we could be in-laws!
  12. Just FYI: Bleach doesn't "kill" gluten. Its a very large, strong protein. I have found that plain white vinegar dissolves wheat flour well from when I used to use wheat flour. Also, dissolve alot of other things.
  13. They probably never heard of Osceola beer cheese. "Made with real beer!" Seriously, other than that, I have read the ingredients on a lot of different kinds and no wheat! In fact, the better, more expensive ones usually have fewer ingredients and more understandable ones.
  14. We had a big thread on here about blue cheese, which gorgonzola is. I think the conclusion is that most of it is fine as the bacteria is grown in a lab not on wheat. There is some thought that fancy European brands might have been started on wheat but the bacteria has eaten it all up before it eats the cheese.
  15. I know how you feel. I will have to have every family gathering at my house because I don't want to have people cooking for me. What a pain in the a ! Just tell them that, at this point, you would rather just have a quiet night at home with your Hub. You and/ or he have a busy day the next day at work, school, painting your toenails. Hopefully,...
  16. I live in the US but I haven't found any sharp cheddar with gluten in the ingredients except the beer cheese my Hub got at a specialty store. He enjoyed it.
  17. I'm choosing to ignore this! Do not want to get into the Thanksgiving/Xmas mess! Have been liking my peaceful life.
  18. Mine went away when I went gluten free. Also, the craving for fresh brains, eyes of newt & tongues of dog. (that third eye was handy with kids) Sounds like you have a good doctor choice. Let us know how it goes.
  19. I went to a gluten-free expo yesterday, too. In KC. Ate way too many sweet treats. Yum but ugh!
  20. Maybe an arranged marriage between her & Jeff? I'm sure that's how it's done these days?
  21. It's possible. The thing about beer is, some kinds have very very little gluten in them. If they are not wheat beers, which most aren't, they still have barley. But some of them have almost no barley either. So I guess I'm saying, briefly check what else you ate, incase.
  22. I usually only worry about the ones that say " may contain wheat". I figure they know something about how it was processed that I don't. Makes me think they don't clean well.
