  1. One more reason to move to Kansas. Pet Poos! Open Original Shared Link
  2. I think it translates to math tutor. I know a girl that just got her nose done for her 16th B day today so I had noses on the mind.
  3. Was it oats labelled gluten-free? Regular oatmeal is most likely contaminated with wheat. Also, some Celiacs cannot tolerate oats as its protein is similiar to the gluten protein in wheat. Might want to skip the oatmeal and clean the sugar bowl, Mommy. You didn't do it on purpose. If your MIL won't feed your daughter like you want her to be fed (Kosher...
  4. That was pre gluten-free. Don't crave them anymore! Jess got a new nose?
  5. I think if you said wheat free it might have made more sense. Gluten isn't really a word in most people's vocabularies. That's why I use wheat allergy alot. It makes more sense to most people. When my kids were that age, I would stay to help with the party.
  6. He said it was garbage of a similar sort that he had originally taken off the property! He said that the junk man's code says that if they aren't paid, he can dump up to 3 times the waste they cleared, back onto the cleared property. He has a warrant out for his arrest for illegal dumping!
  7. Got People's Court on. It's hysterical! A guy hired another to cut down brush and haul off junk. Paid the junk man $2000 up front. The junk man wanted his last $1000 before he finished. The guy wouldn't pay him until he finished. The junk man brought " suitable garbage" back from another job and dumped it on the property.

I have one of the blushes that has oats in it. But I did buy it a year or 2 ago (you gottta buy when you like a color) and recently opened it so maybe the new ones don't. I figure the amount of cross contaimination in the tiny amount of oats will be next to nothing. It doesn't go on my lips.
  10. I drink them occcasionally because I get tired of water, water and more water! They go well with the Snyders pretzels.
  11. When I would "force" the boys to go to art galleries, we would play a game. Count the horses and dogs or all animals they see. When they were a little older (8 & 11) we went to the Hirschorn modern art at the Smithsonian. They complained at the first statue outside. Told them they were to count the naked people in the statues and paintings. How many...
  12. I think we all thought you had Celiac or gluten intolerance. Not sure what to tell you. Could be any of the ingredients or none (virus, food poisoning, other food or medication).
  13. Why do they have to know the exact test results? Obviously, you are gluten intolerant. Tell them you have tested positive for gluten intolerance, cause ,with the diet response, you have.
  14. Cc cross contaimination. If she fried or cooked something with flour in the cast iron skillet then, cooked something gluten-free. The little particles left, even in a clean skillet, can get you. Or if she drained the chiles in the colander she had used before for regular pasta. Little bits of pasta can get stuck in the holes.
  15. I have made a decision not to take Maxi, the iPad, into the bathroom. Seriuosly, I wonder about cc on those tamales.
  16. I got some today ay HyVee grocery. WF hasn't had them but HyVee always has a bettter selection of gluten-free than WF.
  17. I'm picturing you in the bathroom with a computer. Food poisoning can be cramps and diarrhea. Its also possible with food poisoning that you got lucky and got the part with the bad bacteria. I think you should find out what exactly she put in them and possible cc issues. Feel better, soon!
  18. First, most corn dog coating is part wheat flour part corn meal. What did she put in the tamales? You need to see the ingredients. Is she making them in a pan or cutting board or colander, etc that had had wheat things before? If she made them at her house, there might be cc from her kitchen. Could be something else isn't agreeing with you. Don...
  19. Might check this link to Gluten Freeville. It talked to Honey Baked Ham to get the scoop. Yes, the meats are gluten-free. 22. I have some Glutino lemon wafer cookies to celebrate Bev's birthday!
  23. In the US, if its made from wheat, they have to label it. I have heard in the US its usually made from corn because corn is cheaper and more shelf stable. I wonder why all this "stuff" is in products sometimes. I see salsa with just the basic tomatoes, onions, peppers, salt, citric acid. Another brand has mod food starch, autolyzed yeast, etc. Why? Why...
