  1. If we can't be annoyed by our husbands, we're probably brain dead. Maybe if you showed him that the gluten-free stuff has just as many or more calories and carbs, he would leave it alone. Maybe if you showed him the price $7 for a bag of gluten-free pretzels, $2 for regular. Hit him in the wallet!
  2. Your post is there. It's just been a bit slow around here. Usually, we can't wait to tell you what we think.
  3. Thanks for taking me down memory lane!
  4. My younger one is actually interested in the military. He's 14 so he's also interested in Forest Ranger, grade school teacher, bar tender, etc. But I would be interested to know how they handle your food needs. During training and school in the States, it's probably easier or the food is up to you. But when deployed, what do you do? thanks
  5. On the off chance that this is not a joke: are you talking about glutamine? That's an amino acid found in some foods but it's not gluten. Otherwise, I would love to know the source of your info.
  6. We are having a surprise rinse right now! Am sending the boys and dog out with soap on their heads.
  7. You might find that after being gluten free and healing, you can eat things that made you sick before.
  8. There are a lot foods like this. They don't use any gluten but it's expensive to test. Why test when they know they didn't add any gluten? We have a wonderful sausage company here that says all the sausages are gluten-free. All they make on that machinery is sausage and they don't use any gluten ingredients, therefore, gluten-free. If they tested and...
  9. If you have a problem with yeast, you should avoid it. A few people do. Or if you are a strict vegan since yeast is a living organism. Otherwise, I don't know why you would.
  10. Is everyone so fatigued from the heat, they can't be psilly? It seems to be sucking up our psilly here. Might have to get Frosties for lunch.
  11. Might I suggest cheap plastic table clothes from the party store. Even trash bags might be big enough. Cover the seat under the car seat. Cover the car seat. Could wrap some duct tape around the seat belt portion that goes on his chest so it doesn't interfere with the belt hooking in. A big beach towel on his lap for "spillage" is easier to clean up...
  12. It could be something not agreeing with him but if not ... Both my boys have been car sick. The older one had more trouble. 2 or 3 seems to be the age this popped up. Make sure there is cold air blowing on his face. Back seats and kid car seats can be hot and stuffy. Peppermint, Ginger or lemon help some people. I know he can't suck on a whole peppermint...
  13. Maybe a toothpick or an uncooked rice noodle. Probably not want to eat it but could still eat the marshmellow. Maybe a fruit roll-up? I think there have been things about gluten-free ones on here. You could warm it up a little ( like set it outside in the heat ) just to make it really pliable and sticky. Roll part of it up really tight to the thickness...
  14. Lisa, Arms aren't supposed to dance around like that! Peter, so glad for the kitty. He is going to be happy and the center of attention. I have weather here I don't like. Didn't know we could send it to Canada. Do we use UPS or Fed Exp?
  15. School starts here Aug 18! About 810 hours. But who's counting?
  16. Because all doc's are different. I would call and ask to speak to the doc's nurse. Explain that he's autistic and does better if he knows what to expect.
  17. Hi Judy! 95 here in Kansa City with the humidity 105. Does it cool down at night? When we lived in Sacramento it would be 110 but 65 at night. The new AC was expensive but it's working well.
  18. Better then M after a day at nature camp!
  19. This is the perfect man! He is gorgeous, funny and well employed!
  20. How scary, Bev! The nerve of the guy having the symptoms while you were so far away! Glad he's OK.
  21. I'll bring M & his tent & camping stuff. He & Max can live in the yard. M can make great gluten-free camp food! Can they have an extension cord to run a tv and XBox?
  22. Went to one several years ago & wasn't gluten-free then. I wold call today when it isn't busy like 10:30 or 3:00 and talk to a manager or cook. I think you would have better luck with them when its not packed with people.
  23. It going to be 100 here tomorrow & humid. I don't mind spiders. Could bring a spider & a bug book & magnifiers & the kids & I could identify your insects, Isopods and arachnids.
  24. My iPad app lists only these large ones: Caramel corn Light Salt Unsalt White cheddar I think there have been discussions on here that the small ones are troublesome. Just looking at the Quaker web site FAQs it says they can't say any are gluten-free. Ahhhh....The joys of Celiac!
  25. I hurt my knee skiing. It got mostly better but still hurt at times. If I did anything strenuous. it would hurt again. A few months after going gluten-free, I realized it didn't hurt anymore & I was doing more exercise. Hopefully, this will happen for you, too.
