  1. Maybe that could be the subtitle of her book.
  2. Sounds better than what I could come up with. "Looks pretty and won't rot your guts out". "gluten free goodies". "Psilly Pastries" "Chic-ee Cakes" You know people will think your name is Madeleine.
  3. What about Wimbleton? 50 to 50? These guys are playing until one falls and can't get up. It was stopped at 59 to 59. To be continued for the third day Thursday.
  4. I saw that and it hadn't made it to the list of recent quakes yet so I thought I misunderstood. Did anything fall off shelves?
  5. USA and England! Whooooo! On to the next round!
  6. I have sent them back a note saying that they didn't answer the question. And asking again about dedicated lines or facilities. I'm guessing that they are using the same machines just being extra careful. I eat them and like them.
  7. This was the response I got. I asked about separate facilities or manufacturing lines. Sounds like they are not separate but they are aware of the CC issues and have found a solution for them. Dear Valued Consumer: Thank you for contacting us about gluten in Chex cereal. General Mills offers several products that are labeled gluten-free...
  8. This is like what has been going on here. FIL and wife decided to move to Europe. Had 2 elderly cats. Tried to trick us into taking them in various ways. We decided I was just getting diagnosed and feeling awful. I did not need to deal with cats dropping dead on me. He got a temporary cat sitter. He called a few weeks later to "see how I was doing"...
  9. I got red duck brand tape at Walmart or target. I put it on my butter, PB, etc & this helps everyone keep out of it.
  10. Yeah, Bev met Jan-knit and the "entourage". Peter and his balls! Well, this is encouraging: just announced on the local news that the Salvation Army "cooling shelters" will be open tomorrow. They open when the heat index is 105 by 11 am. Had the sales guy out to tell me what it would cost to replace the A/C and heating. WOW!
  11. This is the answer I got about Chex. You can see I specifically asked about separate machines or facilities. Not sure that they answered that. Dear Valued Consumer: Thank you for contacting us about gluten in Chex cereal. General Mills offers several products that are labeled gluten-free. Please check the package label for the gluten...
  12. Look around on this website as we have had lots of posts about this. You can try putting snacks and lunch in the search box. There are a lot of candy & you can find a list - M&Ms, Dove chocolate are 2,
  13. This post! What an image I now have in my brain!
  14. Cerave is a thick cream that my Hubs dermatologist recommended. It is gluten-free and I use it because my skin was so dry and itchy. Also found that as my vitamin levels got better (low for iron, B12, D, Calcium) my skin got better. Cerave is found in drug stores like Walgreens and CVS. Not sure in other parts of the country where to find it.
  15. Sounds lovely. (except the MIL part). What happened to the "location" that used to be under our Avs? I don't remember where I live anymore. Actually, someone wanted some brand names or grocery names, but couldn't tell if they lived close to me or not. Clicked on Em and it says there where she lives but it has disappeared from the Av. Mysterious...
  16. If you google "lays gluten free" they list all the products and which have what including gluten in them. I don't believe they have dedicated facilities.
  17. I just emailed General Mills about the Chex. Asked if they were made in the same plant or on the same machines as the wheat Chex. We'll see if I get an answer amd I will post it here.
  18. If you go gluten free, blood tests won't pick it up. If your blood tests are negative, you will really have a hard time convincing them.
  19. Here too. Yuck! And A/c limping along!
  20. I found it fun, especially in the beginning to try all the new things. I found several things I wished I had known about before. It made it less discouraging and sad to find something good. I found some things I couldn't stand. You might want to make a note of what you really like and what you don't. I felt like - if I can't have regular stuff, I was...
  21. We have a 3 car garage and 4 cars. 3 fit in the garage. The intent is to organize the stuff that is in there and move the cars out when you want to work on something. (or have a group of friends over to pretend you are working on friends car).
  22. I try not to do much with my brows as I tend to pluck the wrong thing. Get a bald spot. Have to use the sharpie. Well, the A/C man was here. Many things are wrong with the a/c. He has it limping along until I can get a new one. He had good news for the boys....will be easy to run a duct into the garage. Hub and oldest son want to make " The...
