  1. from what i have read, the neuro issues take the longest to recover, and may not be absolutely complete. found my balance issues were from lack of CoQ10. Your brother's onset being so quick would make either less likely than something viral. But I am thinking that either of the first two, maybe in the mix.
  2. that could be orthostatic hypotension...?POTS are you dehydrated, too little salt, or protein?
  3. yeah, skip the wheat starch. It may have been "certified" gluten free, but at what level? If you are very sensitive, it may well be too much, kinda like the shared line issues.
  4. do remember that celiac is NOT an allergy!
  5. what is the number on the TSH? saying normal is not good enough.
  6. are you a biopsy proven celiac? If you are, and your genes comeback negative....wouldn't be helpful. In the usa, they generally only test for two, in europe they test for more than that.
  7. find out what genes you have, I think DQ1 is the more common with neuro issues...Raven is Dq9 and i can't remember the other...as far as your brother goes, i would wonder about Meniere's. Have they started him on prednisone?
  8. Before you get the testing, consider what, if any, difference it will make in you choices...
  9. what further testing do you need? you will have been too long gluten free for any of the usual testing. The kidlet, perhaps an endo. She probably needs a weaning process, to get of the gluten.
  10. ?diabetes?low vitamin B1, what was the B12 level? is he supplementing Vitamin D??
  11. apparently it is the dusting in the mold that causes the issue.
  12. this is where the fact that i don't have children is really going to show.......if an eleven year old pulled that "*&%#" with me, there would be some serious consequences. All bets are off if there is an abuse hx, or developmental delay.
  13. most likely this is a chemical imbalance problem, would you be ashamed to take insulin? You can not "gut" (pun intended) your way out of either one.
  14. Open Original Shared Link nothing came on first page of search connection celiac to it....good luck
  15. I would wonder if you can't revoke them now?? or would that potentially cause a "red flag", don't need to get CPS involved.
  16. are you in Canada?
  17. If you want testing you need to be eating gluten. Post c.diff infection you need probiotics, perhaps for ever. you also sound multi vitamin def. good luck
  18. do you have a copy of her test results? what docs call normal isn't always.. load her up and test again....or take her gluten free, but then testing would req a challenge. and it seems that public schools "need" that paper work to help maintain gluten free....
  19. just because you signed that it was ok for the school to talk to the doc, doesnt make it ok that the doc shared with them things he/she hadn't shared with you!!!!!! ...and I am betting you won't sign that again!
  20. I am thinking the mech of hormone/celiac is the thru the liver....at least partly
  21. just a nit picking little comment....neither corn nor peas are vegetables....
  22. Your reply was more polite than I would manage being.....so i will simply agree!
  23. the doc who said no, based on "not wasting away"., have you communicated with him? I have a very uncomplementary name for him.....
  24. You may need to pay for appropriate testing. At least get your last TSH and share with us. If they refuse, demand that they give you written reason why.
  25. yup, western medicines forte is acute care/trauma.
