I've generally had no problem with any coffeeshops showing me labels for hot chocolate, chai, soy milk, tea, and I can read the labels on granola bars and such myself. Canning jars are great for storing leftovers. Are you cooking for one? Frozen vegetables (in bags) are a huge convience and work very well for portioning out appropriate amounts. Mrs. Dash's is incredibly popular among the older set. How low sodium? Are you talking restricted to 600/800/1500 mg/day? A little extra butter can go a long way, too, and may be okay for a couple of weeks. A pinch of sugar can also help. I've been there! I liked it, mostly because my northern relatives fed me junk food, but that was also where I learned to not take my mother to a museum and expect her to leave a room without reading aaalllll the words. Second grade, so it's been a while. And that is an adorable chicken, for the nth time. -
Anybody got any suggestions? Tuna is barely interesting, and only earns a mouthful. Mackerel, salmon treats, and chicken broth didn't even get interest. Chicken breast is currently cooking, so that's on the list. I think we're off to the vet er in the morning... as our vet can't do an ultrasound for two weeks. It feels absurd, but oh well.

Taza is good, and no gluten around. I've bought the Schaffen-berger baking bars with no problems, but I don't remember if there was a shared facility statement on it. -
Actual food works too: PB, almond butter, hard boiled eggs, deli meat, tuna, etc for protein and then fruit/dairy/grains for carbs. Cold boiled potatoes a fav for me pre-run.

It sounds like you are either getting some gluten contamination-- work or something you eat but your son doens't maybe?-- or else you are having problems with another food. Dairy would be suspect #1. Take it out for a couple of weeks and see how you do. If that doens't help, some deeper thought might be needed to see if you're reacting to eggs, or soy... -

The UGA website is pretty awesome. There's also a book called Small Batch Preserving, which is a nice intro to techniques without requiring you to have 10 lbs of cucumbers or 3 bushels of strawberries.
