  2. I have mostly only neuro responses. Vertigo, dizziness, a feeling that I'm going to float out of my chair, numbness, clumsiness, vision problems, joint pain, muscle weakness. My stomach was bloated for a long time, but I didn't even realize that until I went gluten-free. All the symptoms stopped when I went gluten-free. A lot of other people here...
  3. rant picked up. Dammit! I hate that for you. All you eat was rice? I'm so sorry. Keep us posted.
  4. Someone posted home made gluten-free bbq sauce on here and I can't find it and my chicken's almost done! LOL! I know it's ketchup and brown sugar - something?
  5. Oh I am SO making this. I miss sandwiches so much. A lady at work was eating one today and I got literally jealous. Where do you buy xanthan gum and tapioca starch? Are they available at most markets? I am so gonna make this....
  6. Hey Patti! What do you mean it was on a round plate? Is that a PF Changs thing? When I had it, it was carry out. but I'm going to have my birthday dinner there, so trying to find out everything I can LOL!~

  8. So you all know I'm having a reaction to that dry mustard. So I summon up the courage to go to the market on my way home from work (which I left early from, with permission) to get a bag of chicken breasts. My pinky and ankle go "numb" when I have a reaction, I get tunnel vision, I swear sweat (turns out I do swear ) it's all I can do to hold myself...

    ARCHIVED "allergy" Testing

I think I've decided to get tested. However, I have been back scratch tested twice for "foods" and those have all been negative. I asked the lady to test to see if I'm allergic to coffee and you know what she told me "it's not legal for us to test for coffee right now" I said HUH????? she said sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't and right then...
  10. I can't eat yogurt right now. The forum suggested I go gluten-free a bit longer before trying it again.
  11. I just posted last week about the great experience I had at PF Changs. And YES! I have had that feeling, outta nowhere - must be Angels!
  12. I think that's wonderful.
  13. My mom who is horribly lactose intolerant cannot drink Lactaid milk, but she does use the Lactaid pills. The only milk she can "stomach" (PARDON THE PUN lol!)is Silk.
  14. I was unemployed for a year. Then I worked a temp job for a year. They hired me this past Christmas. After the Holidays is when my symptoms started. I got a HUGE increase in pay, and finally have insurance, PTO, etc. I don't know, can a good situation be a trigger? It seems the relief from stress made everything go crazy.
  15. Is it normal for your reactions to gluten to change when first going gluten-free? It's like my dizziness is lessening but my stomach issues are worse and I get more fatigued. Like, now, it's 6 at night and I'm getting ready to turn in. Have a bit of a headache too. Two other things that I hadn't picked up on is the heartburn. I've been on Nexium...
  16. I know, that's why I felt it important to post this information. It's not like we were all sitting around talking about gluten...these are teenagers just talking about their jobs. They do pre-dress the burgers at height times, like lunch. I love Wendy's, and I love their chili and the other day when I stopped to get some, I remembered what these kids...
  17. Well geez, Sally, with my stomach today and my D and your gas, together we could clear the oil spill outta the ocean, it would just melt away and everything would be back to normal. I don't know WHAT causes that smell, exactly as you described. And I was at work! I know everyone musta been talking about old stink-o me. I thought maybe it's the new...
  18. OH I feel just awful for you. I got glutened today, and I felt the exact same way you described. I was at work too and I couldn't wait to get out of there. I freakin' HATE that panicky, shaky, jump outta your skin feeling. I sooooo feel for you, Plus, when you're at work and feel like that, you have to double down on it because you have to hold your...
  19. My daughter has friend that work/ed at Wendy's I absolutely love their chili. They have all said, at one time or another, that the burgers that aren't sold that day or in a certain amount of time, are used as such: they take the top and bottom bun off, scrape all the condiments off and chop up the meat and make the chili with that meat. Has anyone...
  20. I got glutened this morning. tingly extremitries, headache, stomach troubles, panicky feeling, vertigo and kinda of sad. Seems I get sad when it happens. It's like, "oh no here comes the enemy".....something like that.
  21. My mayo is new. I threw away most everything in my whole kitchen. 10-12 bags of stuff. But, yeap, I didn't even think about thost spices at all.....
  22. I didn't end up using the paprika. I did use the dry mustard. Then my feet went numb then I got dizzy and I've been in the bathroom since. And I have a headache So, yeah, no dry mustard for me. I dont' know what brand it is, because it's in a spice jar and I don't remember what I originally bought.
  23. Thai Kitchen Rice Noodle instant soup. It's like a gluten-free version of Raamen (sp?) noodles. I found them in the Oriental section and each pack is only .99 cents! Very very good, comes with an extra little flavor packet. Filling, too. Comes in many different flavors. For what it's worth ...

    ARCHIVED Ms?

I was also tested for ms. Spinal tap, MRIs, the whole shabang. The first neuro's report says "everything looks fine, so it must be ms, based on complaints" I got a second opinion and that report says, "everything looks fine, so it must be ms, based on complaints" That was about 9 years ago. I've been wondering and worrying about all the people out...
