  1. Me too girl. I made a gluten-free pizza yesterday. I know for a fact it was gluten-free but I spent the WHOLE night with horrible horrible gas and D. That is the only thing out of the ordinary I ate so no telling what it was. Tiff
  2. My memory issues started 3 years ago long before the idea of gluten ever entered the picture. I believe I began Glut intolerance symptoms 30 years ago so no telling how much damage I have. My memory is completely shot. It is extremely bothersome. Ok not sure why I responded, I wish I had something to share that would help. Or maybe I did... and I just...
  3. I am about a month in. I too have good days bad days. learning what has gluten in it and what doesn't but its hard! Sometimes it seems everything makes me sick then I have a great day eating the same thing I mean really! We will get there!!
  4. It is easy to tell a gluten intolerant they need to run their kitchen gluten-free to insure no cc but.. who in the world can afford that!? Our grocery budget has taken a hit with just me being gluten-free. Better meats, more produce not to mention the gluten-free flours and baking items. I know I can't be the only mom who can't afford to feed her whole family...
  5. I had no doubt you would come to my rescue. Thanks guys!!
  6. I forgot this was primarily a southern chain. I am in Houston Texas. If your out this way... check em out!
  7. Our waitress said she tells the manager about allergies to *assure* gluten-free pizza baking. I did not like it...at.... all. I would rather make my own using Bobs crust and my own stuff than go out to eat and eat that particular crust. I disliked it so much I just scrapped off the toppings and ate those.
  8. Figured I would need coco, powdered sugar... egg? I don't eat much frosting but I want a little something on top of my gluten-free cake
  9. I bought it at HEB in Houston Texas.
  10. loves flourless chocolate crispie cookies

  11. Ba-da-dump LOL! Good one Maceroni! I still do my grocerygaming. I still have to feed 5 other people, the dog, the guinea pig and the two remaining, barely alive, hanging on by a tread hampsters. I am a stockpiler so when I find things I CAN use that is mainstream but generally gluten-free I stock up on it. (coffee, sugar, Splenda, cheese, butter, meat...
  12. Oh my goodness. I guess with that serious of a reaction, it takes a while to recover! I am so sorry you feel bad and I am hoping you feel back to normal soon. Curiosity always kills the cat.. especially in MY house! I have 4 kids and a dog lol.
  13. My 5 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter get D from apple juice. Always have! It is the only thing that does it so I don't know what it is about the apple. They have other Frutose things with no problem. hmmm curious. I hope you feel better!
  14. You guys really are the best. Danyelle, the evening this *episode* occured, I ate a LOT of corn. baked corn chips (about 3 tortillas) Plus a flat corn with queso and 2 corn shell tacos. I do eat corn products without issue but I think maybe I overdid it that night. I hadn't had tex mex in a long time and I was tickled they had a gluten-free menu. One...
  15. My fav is Glupons. I am known as one of the local coupon ladies. Little good they do me now for most of what I can eat. Gluturds who don't print glupons.
  16. I too, have noticed the terms and they crack me up. I feel like I am one of the cool kids in the cool club because I can call some a glutard and they have no idea what I just said.
  17. I am getting upset. I have had D and gas for 2 days now. I THINK it may have been from eating some corn tortilla chips fried in oil used for flour so CC. I was told they were gluten-free then learned I was supposed to specify gluten-free baked and not corn fried. In my defense the manager did tell me they were gluten-free! Liar. I was fine until this particular...
  18. What was it you bought? Like an item they used the cereal box to pack and did the seller know about your allergy?
  19. These are great LOL. The one that upset me the most was when we were at Football. I bring my own food. Usually tuna or watermelon, my trusty rice crisps.... Ok so the coaches wife looks at me and says.."Everytime I see you, your eating something!" It really hurt my feelings. What I typically do is feed the family then bring my own fruit and crackers...
  20. Gringos has always been on of my fav restaurants. I asked here before going but evidently none of us had any info so when I went,I asked to speak to a manager. Told them my issue and they had the houston celiac support group come at some point and they made up a gluten-free/Wf menu! The sad part... all the stuff I thought would have been safe....not one...
  21. To me, and it may only be because I am new, but it's like a slap in the face. I am still weeding out gluten. I work so hard to not eat it but wow it's hard. It hides in everything. I would never do it on PURPOSE! I mean.. why? Out in public no less!! I lothe having to ... well you know... in public restrooms but when I get glutened, I have no choice and...

    ARCHIVED I'm Hot

40yr female here and I am always sweating and hot. Blood tests show no reason for it but I can not tolerate the heat and it takes me a while to cool down. I feel ya!
  23. SB- I JUST noticed this the other day. HEB has all their gluten-free all over the place but their unfrozen gluten-free bread is right next to my alltime fav, orowheat Jewish Rye. It just sits there teasing me. None the less...Marz, I guess it depends on how important it is to the person. I have a lady friend at church who went on a gluten-free *kick* because...
  24. yes they do and I doubt I am the only mother of teens who do this. I bring it home about once a week... sometimes twice. We have football every day, I homeschool, we have 4 kids and the house is an absolute wreck right now due to football preseason training (killin us!) I am having a real hard time cooking family meals. My mom would have just said no...
  25. Thanks guys. She is also OCD and we have a very hard time with her anxiety induced symptoms. I brought up perhaps we should visit the dr and see if anything has changed. She freaked out. It was not a postivie memory for her
