  1. Several possibilites, but the bin looks most suspicious (flour). I don't buy any foods from bulk bins due to CC.
  2. If your doctor refuses to test you, then I would go to a different doctor, or go through enterolab or another.
  3. Hmm, maybe an enzyme deficiency? I am 1 1/2 yrs gluten-free with all negative/normal etc testing and I still get this. Do you get D? Rapid transit of food through the bowel could also cause this. There may always be a bit of a presence with this in healed Celiacs too. Even though my intestines are negative for sprue etc, they may never return to the...
  4. On the Martha channel? See, I told all you Martha haters that she was good Thanks for sharing Tiffany...unfortunately, I have XM!

    ARCHIVED Babycakes...

I tried it. Had a vanilla and chocolate cup cake. Both were good I thought. I liked the frosting but it does have a slightly different taste--soy maybe? Can't totally remember now. I thought the chocolate chip cookies were great!
  6. Thanks for sharing...sounds like a great trip! Pictures look beautiful! Anything else you did?
  7. The mall carries a few things I can't find anywhere. However, my favorite place is the Gluten Free Trading Post--huge selection, the biggest of any I think. Its a store based out of WI. My orders always arrive quickly. Open Original Shared Link You can ck out their pdf catalog, its very big. I haven't ordered frozen from them, so can't speak to that...
  8. Our favorite favorite fries are Alexia. There are so many great kinds and they are all delicious!! Open Original Shared Link
  9. That's a great accomplishment! Its good you share it--it encourages the rest of us!
  10. St. Claire candies are good...but one warning on the cough drops--some have echinecea and a few other herbs in them. So, if you don't want to be taking those don't get them. The product I'm talking about is here: Open Original Shared Link I like the candies...but they seem to make my throat sore if I eat too many of them. Acidic maybe? They are definitely...
  11. Yup, it can take me several days at a minimum to get over a dairy incident.
  12. I used Great Plains Lab b/c I thought their tests were comprehensive, less expensive, and they billed partially to my insurance, anthem. Heres info on their food allergy/intolerance testing. You can get IgE and IgG or either.

    ARCHIVED Am Sick Again

    Enjoy the movie and rest!
  14. Psoriasis often comes and goes, gets better, then comes back. Sometimes it comes back with stress or when you are under the weather. That's pretty common. I haven't used what you listed, but that is used to treat psoriasis. Temovate, Dovonex and coal tar shampoos are other popular treatments. You may get rid of psoriasis someday, but for many folks it...
  15. I was also going to suggest psoriasis. Often found in Celiacs, it takes on the form of large, flaky scales. Essentially, your skin is maturing too quickly but your body can't shed it fast enough, so these "scales" build up in patches. Can or can not itch. It is most usually on the scalp. Gluten in your shampoo could be contributing to the problem...but...
  16. As has been said here, there is a link. However, there is a difference between lactose and casein (milk protein) intolerance. Lactose intolerance is not an "intolerance"...just an inability to break down milk sugar. Taking a lactaid or supplement can help with that and is a good way to experiment. And yes, as villi heal, some people find their lactose...

Hope your doc gives some definite answers! Isn't that what we all want ?!
  18. Just got an e-mail from my mom that can serve as a reminder and encouragement to all of us to keep spreading the word, even to people who don't potentially have celiac disease. My mom got an e-mail from a coworker that she mentioned Celiac to...b/c she has ongoing GI issues. This coworker (April) has kept in touch with a woman who no longer works at the...
  19. Poor thing…like Karen said--if this is the only thing that is working, then, she may need to stick with it for a while! Not going at all can be dangerous. I had forgot to mention that taking a simple magnesium supplement with the psyllium can also be a huge help…but needs to be experimented with as too much can cause D. I would honestly get your doctor inv...

Yikes! Feeling better yet? Antibiotics typically stay in our system for a while after our last dose...so you could still be feeling side effects from the flagyl...
  21. Lindsey- Hi! I switched to Aubrey Organics Rosa Mosqueta shampoo. It is great for me--I have curly hair. Has given me more body and shine than any other shampoo. I buy it at Wild Oats usually. It isn't as cheap as "Pantene", but not as much as Biolage. Maybe $15 or so?
  22. I was going to recommend both of these. I did both to figure out my food intolerances. The blood test is helpful...but depending on your results you may still need to do a food journal to sort out the results. ie. my food intolerance test came back highly allergic to a myraid of foods. I kept a food/symptom journal that helped me confirm issues with certain...
  23. Yup! You can change it back by getting an soil additive to change the ph. I'm sure google could give you some details
  24. I've had a container for months and have been waiting for a recipe to use it in! Maybe I'll try it out in an apple pie crust
