  1. Tawnia--as katherine mentioned -- right now! I wouldn't worry to much...as they studies are still new and few...the info could change again. However, yes, as it stands the research points to a "sweet spot" between 4 and 6 mos.
  2. No way do I cheat. Feeling like crap, increased risk of cancer, my body damaging myself? Not worth it to me, its just food afterall... Work hard to find some gluten-free alternatives you like just as much so you aren't as tempted to cheat...that's a help to some.
  3. I get those, we call them PVCs...just some irregular beats. Mine happen to me when I get run down...and I noticed you need to get some sleep !

    Have you been officially diagnosed with ocular rosacea? It does sound that like, but I wondered if sjogren's could also be possible. Are you diabetic by chance?   8. I just have to say--I made cookies from the recipe I posted above, and they were great!!! Pretty close to oatmeal cookies, taste really good! I am digging the quinoa flakes. Try it!

  14. Well, since we *are* women, I think we can call ourselves whatever we like ! However, that rule doesn't apply to the "guys!" I like to use all of them, depending on the situation NOW--I sent Lynne the pic this morning--so its out of my hands!
  15. How about trying some new gummy gluten-free grains like quinoa or millet? They cook quickly and easily. You can use these with spices, different meats, beans, veggies etc and make many variations on dishes like paella or rice and beans. Easy, pretty fast and yummy!

I know there are a few here in S Africa, so hopefully they will respond, but you can also ck with the groups below for local help: The South African Coeliac Society advises contacting them before and after arrival in the country. They can provide a Food List as well as local information on restaurants, etc. In some cities gluten-free food is not available...
