  1. Takala, I couldn't agree more. I am amongst the ranks of the way over 30 crowd and I miss the jeans from the 80's. Those jeans used to fit great. I also miss leg warmers, the hair styles from the 80's and the music and the morals...but thats for a whole entire different thread...
  2. I wear either athletic type pants with sweatshirts or regular pants or skirts. It's interesting to read the responses to see what people like.
  3. Gosh I could have written that all myself. I have liver issues too and am going to the Dr. in a few weeks to be checked again for that. I am interested in reading these responses as I have the same questions you do about it all.
  4. Sometimes I wonder if I am the only woman in America who doesn't own a pair of jeans. I can't stand how they look or feel. I haven't owned a pair in quite some time. Am I the odd man (woman) out?!
  5. These are certified gluten , soy, dairy, nut and egg free....sulfite free and a couple of other "frees" too. I think they taste very good. They are around 2 dollars a bar. I like to eat a square and then eat some raisins or sunflower seeds with it. These are made with rice milk...pretty tasty..give them a try.
  6. Figured out what it was. I used a tomato paste that contains wheat. Contadina with italian herbs. Next time i'll be more careful! Their other products are gluten free according to their website. This is the only one that contains wheat.
  7. I just wanted to let the other dairy free people here know that The Enjoy Life candy bars are really really good. I found them at Whole Foods over the weekend. I bought a few of the rice crunch ones. They taste like what I remember Nestle Crunch tasted like. They are really worth the money. No soy either for those that watch that.
  8. From their website: Auntie Anne's Allergen Statement Please be advised that our products contain known food allergens and sensitivities. We strongly recommend that anyone with an allergic condition or sensitivity to nuts, gluten, or other food allergens NOT consume our products. Our products may contain allergens or sensitivities as a direct ingredient...
  9. Good idea about cleaning the cars. They are pretty clean but you never know. As far as soy goes, I have a hard enough time with gluten that honestly I think giving up more foods would be too much for me right now. Maybe in the future I will look into that. I have a dr appt. in a few weeks, i'll run it by him too. Thanks
  10. True..true...So sorry, I hope that you feel better soon and get to the root of your health issues.
  11. Ya know...I may get in trouble here for this but that is one of the rudest comments that I have ever read on here. Glad that you don't have celiac but the rest of us here do. I am currently glutened and feeling like crap so nice way to rub it in.....good going!!
  12. So, I got glutened over the weekend. Migraine, aches, D. The works. It is so annoying to me when I don't have a clue as to what "got" me. I went through all of the things that I ate and there wasn't anything new really except for a couple of Pamelas Cookies and an Enjoy LIfe chocolate bar. I am not worried about gluten there at all. The only possibility...
  13. Sunrise, Sunset - Perry Como (Crosby and Como..boy we are going waaaaay back)
  14. They do that here too with the shorts in the freezing cold weather. Not me! I sit inside and hibernate. It doesn't get hot here in the summer, in fact, no one has air conditioning here b/c it doesn't get hot enough. Speaking of a weird bunch, we have no mail delivery here..We have to drive to the post office to get the mail. Crazy! An early spring...
  15. Travel, where in the heck are you Russia? LOL. I thought -14 was cold. -30 makes my bones hurt just thinking about it. Heck I guess when it's into minuses, it all feels the same. Stay warm!!!
  16. Talk about freezing your butt off, you and me both! It was -14 here this morning. Yes, thats a minus!

  19. Enjoy your dinner! You have a really sweet husband to go out and get all of that for you. You are going to love Costco. They have a huge frozen fish isle and a lot of their Kirkland brand foods are marked gluten free. You are going to be ok! Celiac sucks but it is what it is. We are going to have good days and bad days. As far as the spicy...

  22. Wendy, everything is going to be OKAY! Take a deep breath, go watch a movie or something with your husband. Sew or read or do something else. The Libby's pumpkin in safe. If you want to eat it, eat it. Go walk around your local health food store and get some yummy gluten free food. Enjoy Life products are safe for ALL allergens. I feel for ya!...
  23. Thanks. I will look for them at Whole Foods.
  24. I'm sorry and I don't mean to sound rude but you are really wrapped up in counting calcium and protein etc. How about calcium fortified OJ or So Delicious coconut milk or almond milk etc. You said that you eat ground beef. How about making a hamburger and eating lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup etc. Fry some bacon to put on top...so many things to...
