  1. I am looking for a new rice as I found out today that the rice brand that I am currently using may have come in contact with red winter wheat by rail, truck or storage. -Wonderful. As a super sensitive that us not something that you want to hear. Have you tried Texas Best rice?
  2. Oh my gosh you poor thing. That is awful!
  3. Hi, I am looking for something to keep food warm on the go. This would be something that I would need to be able to take in the car. I can't seem to find anything big enough. The biggest container that I can find is 10 ounces. Does anyone know of anything at all that would work? Thanks! -MO
  4. Thanks! That is exactly what I needed to hear today.
  5. Gemini, thanks so much for all of your help and advice. I am going to get some digestive enzymes, drink my water and be extra careful and realize that this is all going to take time to feel better and to heal. Bunnie, thanks for the info on the charcoal. I never would have thought of that. Everyone else who responded, thanks so much for the support...
  6. Thanks everyone for the advice and support. It means so much to me. One of these days i'll get this all figured out.
  7. You might just have to go and take your chances. Spending time with your family will be worth it! Just take your food like you always do. Hang in there..this really is a pain and all hard to take.
  8. Adalaide, if celiac isn't bad enough, you have to go through all of the other crap. I'm struggling with just the celiac and thats bad enough. I hope that you finally will get some answers and get the help that you deserve! I went to 2 doctors to try to get a fibromyalgia diagnosis. They sent me out the door with antidepressants. Didnt help so I went...
  9. Could be Dh but it doesn't look like mine. Look through some of the DH photo bank. Mine is more of a red and inflamed kind of a rash that spreads very quickly in large areas. I usually run a fever when mine gets really bad.

    ARCHIVED Corn

Is there something in corn that would bring the DH on like wildfire? I am going out of my mind with the itching and the burn...It feels like my chest and shoulders have been lit on fire.
  11. Thanks Wolfie. I am not a patient person at all. I want this all gone like antibiotics to an infection. I guess if it took me 14 years to get like this, I wont be all healed up in a matter if a few months.
  12. Perhaps you were cc'ed from something somewhere. I was in Costco over the weekend and there was a baby in a cart (cute as can be) eating cookies and they were ALL over the cart. I thought to myself glad I didnt get that cart after that kid was in it. Could be anything really. Whatever it was, I hope you get to feeling better very soon! Hang in there...
  13. Hi, I'm going to make this the condensed version. Gluten free for 3 years and doing ok. Had several life stresses like illness in the family, both of my dogs that we had for 14 years passed and had to move to another state. Went to a doc who said I never had celiac and that I had severe IBS due to those stresses. I started eating gluten again. ...
  14. I would offer to hold the event at your home. I avoid restaurants at all costs. I did however sit in a Wendy's with my friend on Sat. I brought my food and ate while she drove and she stopped at Wendy's and got a chili and some fries. I just sat there and we talked while she ate. It was ok. If you do have to go to the restaurant, I would just...
  15. Steph, that is my thought exactly! mommy of 4, I was at the gyn in Dec. I mentioned it to her and she didn't seem at all concerned. Just a celiac or peri thing I suppose.
  16. Amen Sista! Also keeps the grocery bill down.
  17. Escape Artist - Cursive
  18. Sounds totally crazy but works great. I take plain white rice and grind it in my blender to make a fine rice flour. I dip the chicken in egg and then into the ground rice and fry in olive oil. Works great with fish too.
  19. Heck I dunno. Gemini, I sure hope that you are right. B/c all of this cooking from scratch is a PITA. Before my stupid gluten challenge, I could eat a few processed foods. Now, nothing. Meat, fruit and veg. Sucks Sorry to hijack your thread Karen! Carry on celiacs...don't mind me.
  20. Also, how in the heck did you find my first post offensive. I was saying that I was glad that you found something tasty that worked for you. I am getting tired of coming here to this forum for support and I get my bootie chewed out for something. I started posting in the super sensitive section where I probably belong but non-super sensitives go there...
  21. I make everything from scratch with fresh ingredients. I am super sensitive though.
  22. Same here. Just a bit jealous as I sit here with gut cramps and a fever from my celiac. You are lucky that you can eat mainstream gluten free foods. I am on a strict nothing processed diet. My GI doctor said that it is the only way that I personally will get better. This has been and is so so difficult for me. I would give anything to be able to eat...
  23. julissa, I think we are SOL on that one.
  24. I go through the one good day followed by several bad days too. It is truly a pain and I get so annoyed at the recovery process with all of this. I want a quick fix. Like an antibiotics to an infection kind of result. The 2 things that went away for me are the horrible joint pain and migraines. I am dealing with raw and sore intestines and bowel...
  25. That would make my life SO MUCH EASIER! If only there was a gluten, soy, dairy, corn free one, i'd be all set. Glad you found something tasty!
