It can take a long time to heal if you don't restrict the iodine very seriously. I'm one year and 4 months gluten free. This is the first time I am free of DH lesions. Many people with gluten problems also have problems with Soy. If you don't get better with gluten elimination you might try eliminating the edamame. I didn't think I would be sensitive to soy but it turns out it is really bad for me. Try thyca.com for the low iodine diet. Any time I eat salty food I get a reaction. DH is very sensitive to cross contamination so you have to be really careful. Reactions can last a long time. No I didn't know about Celiac until I was 47 so I was not diagnosed at the time I took the Accutane. I hope you find someone who can help. One thing to try is giving up dairy and all grains not just wheat. Some people have had great success curing their acne problems this way. I read that while there may be dedicated fryers and gluten free fries, at the end of a shift, all of the oil is strained to filter out food particles and then combined in a large vat to store until it is re-used to fill the fryers the next day. I suffered from bone and joint pain terribly before I knew I had Celiac. Supplementing Calcium and D and being gluten free have eliminated it. Maybe the other vitamins help too. I take a lot of C.

Oh my...at least do not cook with wheat flour. It can become airborne and hang in the air where you breathe it and then swallow it. And there are a million ways to get contaminated in a shared kitchen. Shared pots and pans, collanders, toasters, food surfaces, towels, dishes, spoons cutting boards. Your food needs to be kept totally separate. -
