ARCHIVED What Is Gluten Withdrawal?
cahill replied to shayre's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
The withdraw when I went gluten free was HORRIBLE but it passed in about 6 weeks. The cravings only seem to happen on the rare occasion that a bit of gluten sneaks in to my diet and are a signal to double check my food sources for gluten. Gluten is a VERY sneaky thing. -
Congratulations , your diligence and hard work has paid off in the best way possible ,your GOOD HEALTH

ARCHIVED I Had My Colonoscopy Thursday.
cahill replied to cahill's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
WOW, I would be reluctant to do that too Mine was 1 pill then I mixed a powder into 2 liters of water and had to drink 8 oz every 15 to 30 min until it was gone. I started the prep at 3;30 and was done by 9;30 went to bed and got up once during the night and one more time in the morning and I was done. WOW I guess what the prep is makes a BIG difference -

cahill replied to jstwnttbhealthy's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease

cahill replied to smc's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
WOW all I can say is WOW,,, I guess I can understand that it must be hard for family members to have their lives "inconvenienced" by a loved one being gluten free but considering the FACT it is our health that is at risk I do not expect to be intentionally disrespected by someone ,especially a family member -

cahill replied to jstwnttbhealthy's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I agree with Cass, I would strongly urge you to get a referral to an endocrinologist. If your current doc refuses your request it may be time to look for a new doc. -
