LOL When my kids made a comment one time about the bad genes I gave them I said " I did not know they were bad genes and if I had and decided not to have children that would have not worked so well for you would it " lol I had gene testing done ( just last Dec). When I received the results it was a bit anticlimactic . -

Amelia lsland is in Nassau county closer to Jacksonville than the gulf and yep there are rich people that live there , my family are the ones cleaning those houses not the ones living in them :lol: Another 4 -6 inches of snow here today starting to think winter is NEVER GOING TO END -

This is how doctors/hops/labs/ect get more money from the insurance companys. They basicly over charge the insureace co. to get more money from them . When I was self pay( no insurance ) my docs would charge me a much lower rate than what they would have bill the insurance companys . -

Not sure where you are mommida but I am in northwestern PA and it is the same here, -12 * and my grand kids were off to school because there are no snow days left. My daughter drove them so they would not have to stand at the bus stop in that cold. -

Thats what I though. My GI doc has done both,,, an endoscopy ( upper ) with biopsies looking for villi damage .......and also a colonoscopy ( lower) with biopsies looking for microscopic colitis -

Even if he is asymptomatic damage is being done. As a celiac that dose not eat gluten free he is facing many consequences ,, if the risk of malnutrition , osteoporosis, other autoimmune diseases or the higher risk of colon cancer does not faze him ,,,maybe the fact that gluten is eating at his brain and will eventually deprive him of many things he... -

for a 1/2 cup of uncooked lentils and a 1/2 cup of uncooked brown rice I add 3 cups of water. I also add red onion and what ever spices I feel like that day My rice cooker has an automatic timer but the cooking time is about 45 - 50 mins This is doable in the rice cooker because the brown rice and lentils have the same cooking time. -
I was vegetarian / vegan most of my adult life until celiacs My choices were extremely limited because of additional intolerances so I added animal protein back into my diet . Not happy about that and I am slowly working my way back ( to as close to vegetarian as I will get because of my intolerances ) There are some vegan/ vegetarians in these forums...

I love my rice cooker I use it for so many things in addition to rice My fave is lentils & brown rice with red onion ,,, just throw it all in the rice cooker and you have a fresh cooked meal -

that doctor was educated the same place other doctors are medical school Until our doctors are better educated about celiacs this will continue to happen ,,, scary isnt it
