  5. Bartfull's statement "I went into this kicking and screaming," made me smile and giggle abit. Many of ( well actually all of) my early post here in the forums I described my self as " stomping my feet and pouting " I have found that ( for me) pre planning and a freezer are essential.
  6. I agree with ravenwoodglass , A STRICT elimination diet is a very long process but well worth the time and trouble. When I did my elimination diet the first step for me was eliminating coffee from my diet. That was a process in its self The other thing I would suggest ,, if you are not able to do a STRICT elimination diet,, is to eliminate Soy...

  9. Welcome Many of us have gone undiagnosed and/or were diagnosed very late in life .I understand that need for a " real" diagnoses but for me it has not made much difference ( in the ways I thought it would) I would have not gotten my "official " diagnoses except for the fact my GI doc was educated outside of the US and is open minded. He sent me for...

    ARCHIVED 'patients Become Experts'

My current PCP has told me more than once that she " needed to do some research" because of things we were dealing with. 15. Soy was probably my main source of protein when I was vegan. Now I know that in addition to gluten soy is also an issue for me . Excluding Soy makes it very difficult to get enough protein when eating a vegan/ vegetarian diet,, not to mention limiting my food choices.
  16. I was vegetarian or vegan most of my adult life until celiacs . My body gave me no choice but to start consuming meat again. For quite a while a few meats, rice ,a few fruits and a few vegetables made up my diet . I was unable to eat anything else with out reacting . 21. The only thing I know about microscopic colitis is that when I had my colonoscopy my GI doc did a biopsy to check for it. He said it is sometimes a "complication" of celiacs . My biopsy was negative so I have done no further research Have you considered the possibility of other food intolerances ? or diverticulitis ? I hope you find some answers soon...
