I also have trouble with xantham gum . xantham gum is made from corn, wheat, dairy, or soy all of which I have issues with. -

I recently had to do several 24 and 48 hours urine and take them to the lab ,,, that was very uncomfortable walking into the hosp , check in and going to the lab with these 2 large bottles of urine in my hands- 17 replies

I agree with ravenwoodglass , A STRICT elimination diet is a very long process but well worth the time and trouble. When I did my elimination diet the first step for me was eliminating coffee from my diet. That was a process in its self The other thing I would suggest ,, if you are not able to do a STRICT elimination diet,, is to eliminate Soy... -

No you do not have to be eating gluten to get a DH biopsy. But you do have to have active lesions .. -

Welcome Many of us have gone undiagnosed and/or were diagnosed very late in life .I understand that need for a " real" diagnoses but for me it has not made much difference ( in the ways I thought it would) I would have not gotten my "official " diagnoses except for the fact my GI doc was educated outside of the US and is open minded.He sent me for... -
My current PCP has told me more than once that she " needed to do some research" because of things we were dealing with. She has acknowledged ( more than once) that I knew more about things I am dealing with then she does. That is why she is my PCP she is not afraid to say she doesn't know and lets learn together .She is a keeper

Open Original Shared Link This is a basic recipe for egg muffins . you can add to /change the ingredients by using turkey bacon/ adding cheese/ what ever veggies you want .They store well in the refrigerator for up to a week and reheat well .They can be frozen ( although I think they get a bit tough after frozen ) -

Got glutened on Friday ,,You would think after all these years I would learn ,,,I am still recovering ,, so dinner tonight is brown rice, ground turkey ,red onion stir-fried in olive oil . My tastiest safe meal. -

I can not ( for what ever reason ) eat Jenno products . I use Perdue ground turkey . Yes it also list rosemary on the label but I have had no problems with the Perdue ground turkey -

I for one can multi task . I am "into" celiacs that is true but since other autoimmune diseases ( such as hashimotos ) go hand and hand with celiacs many of us have learn to multi task . I can not recommend any of the "thyroid " sites for information . They are just plain scary . -

Soy was probably my main source of protein when I was vegan. Now I know that in addition to gluten soy is also an issue for me . Excluding Soy makes it very difficult to get enough protein when eating a vegan/ vegetarian diet,, not to mention limiting my food choices. -

I was vegetarian or vegan most of my adult life until celiacs . My body gave me no choice but to start consuming meat again. For quite a while a few meats,rice ,a few fruits and a few vegetables made up my diet . I was unable to eat anything else with out reacting . Hersheys unsweetened cocoa . ingredients list: cocoa. I use this in baking or if I need a chocolate "fix" I use it to make hot cocoa. -

The only thing I know about microscopic colitis is that when I had my colonoscopy my GI doc did a biopsy to check for it. He said it is sometimes a "complication" of celiacs . My biopsy was negative so I have done no further research Have you considered the possibility of other food intolerances ? or diverticulitis ? I hope you find some answers soon...
